How does the alt get passed the gate to warp to? Oh yeah, they have to fly there. And yes, people in fast ships had been doing this for fleets way before warp to zero - it's called teamwork, which is the point of a MMOG, right?
Using alts isn't really teamwork thou is it? This game already has enough advantages for 2nd account holders it really doesn't need more, especially for a basic thing like moving from system to system.
So because of warp to 0 on gates all travelling became instantly safe? o wait all the low sec/null gate camps want a word....
jump bridges and the like are the problem, not moving gate camps from 1 side of the gate to the other.

1) Trying to act bigger than they actually are as a company thus overstretching and failing at everything, its called the Commodore effect, do'er of everything, master of nothing.

Ahh yes, the ol' BOOT.INI! Definitely the king of all things stupid. (Will probably be a top textbook example of terrible programming mistakes for decades to come.)
I was getting my brother into EVE at that time and things were going well. He was quite into it. Then CCP nuked his PC and they instantly created a vicious enemy. He lost data, money and all kinds of stuff on that PC.
Since he obviously couldn't find and cave-in the face of the supergenius at CCP responsible for the BOOT.INI debacle, my brother made it his life's mission to trash and deride EVE (& CCP) everywhere possible. LAN parties, gaming competitions, forums, blogs, comic conventions, game stores, you-name-it.
He claims to have talked hundreds of people out of trying EVE.
So I'd say their biggest mistakes were: 1) BOOT.INI 2) My brother

Desirsar : I only meant preventing jumping in via jumpdrives, not via stargates. _

Edited by: Maverick2011 on 16/07/2011 19:46:04 Incentivating multiple accounts imo is the worst feature of this game. I've never seen a MMORPG before since 1999 where multiple accounts would make such a difference in gameplay efficiency.
Never saw also so many players with multiple accounts in a MMORPG before to avoid the active training skill system limited to 1 player per account. Its sad to see a player controlling 4 accounts to solo level 5 stuff. A 60U$ subscription. Whats worse, they use macro programs to control these things, creating incentive to hacking companies i wont say names to make bots.
Even worse, CCP took RMT's job to sell money for players, instead fighting it, with the cute name PLEX.... .
Lack of competition in sci-fi sandbox mmorpg is really a problem.
