I have been reading around a little bit on this topic. I understand what the limited API and full API is about generally and I have found various posts on here about it.
I haven't used kill boards directly. I have an immediate need now though due to a target take down Im going to do on my main. I need to be able to show that I killed the person on any API kill board.
I know of a few various KB services from searching on here and am awaiting their mails too as I am inquiring.
My question here is, do I have to use a full API on these killboards? I am not wanting to share my information on a full. What are my options (if I have any)? Can a limited API work without too much enemy intel gathering?

Try Battleclinic.
It is your full API key required but I highly doubt they'll be selling your API info off.

You shouldn't need the full API; the limited provides access to your character sheet, which is where the kills/losses are (in the combat log).

Nope. Sadly the full key is required for access to the kill log

Thanks, ISD IonCharge, but that wikipedia page is less than helpful: it says that the Character Sheet is available through the limited API, and your killmails ARE in the character sheet, but the Combat Log isn't specifically listed if you follow the Character Sheet link. And otherwise neither that wiki page nor all the pages it links to actually specify killmails by name, one way or another.
So, useless.

If what you are looking for is a detailed list of exactly what the API key provides access to, I would recommend you check out this page on the EVE Development Network.
