Edited by: Charles Dallocort on 18/04/2011 20:50:40 I would really like to see some more clothing options with incarna (and I have no doubt that there will be). I would specifically like to see a few Trench Coat options for the Caldari.

I hope so as well.
it's pretty silly, IMHO to have the characters from the four different factions all wearing the EXACT same clothing. Do you ever see someone in real life wearing exactly the same clothes as you?
Why wouldn't the Minmatar want to dress very differently from the Amarr? Why would Pirates wear the same clothes as Militia? I think the Minmatar would be wearing Native American style skins and bones, Amarrians robes with hoods, etc. Pirates might wear something Cyber-punk or Mad-max looking, etc.
I'm actually wondering (not that I care too much) if there will be an option for buying clothing for a small amount of ISK. There are a lot of other 3D character creators where there are oodles of clothes to select from and some of them cost more than others. Yet, people will spend IRL cash money just so their character in a pixel computer world can have angel wings, or whatever. Clothes are the easiest way for a person to distinguish themselves from another.
I certainly think that there should be 'corporate uniforms', or even 'Militia uniforms', so that you can tell what corp someone is in just on sight.

I agree, I do think that CCP should implement a feature where the players can buy new clothing and also add new clothing to the game with every or every other major update.

The ability to add, design new clothes etc. would be perfect actually. There are so many creative, intelligent people in EVE and a sci-fi universe offers so many potentials to be inventive.

That would be a great addition to the game, however in order to design new clothes easily the design would most likely have to start from a base template and add on from there. I would assume that creating new clothes from scratch would be extremely difficult without having the knowhow.

Eh. Well maybe difficult to code. Most likely you would have the option of different styles of clothes and coats to wear, and be able to change their colours and designs. There are already programs out there which allow you to design your character's clothes yourself, but I think you actually get paid to do it. (IMVU).
I think even making the four races have radically different 'styles' would be a good start. Amarr are ok the way they are, although perhaps they need more robes or something. Minmatar should look like tribal people, such as Khan from the Wrath of Khan. Caldari could have trench coats, pea-coats, whatever really. I seem to remember in the old 'tons that the Caldari wore pretty militaristic looking clothing. I' picture the Gallente as wearing clothes like the 1960s movie Barbarella, kind of a retro-futurism.

I really think the lack of clothing options is one of the main things wrong with the current WIS rollout.
Having Clothes, tatoos, jewelry etc that is restricted to each race is something else I fully support.
There should be a lot of outfits that everyone can wear, but some people want to show what race they are and this would be a good way of doing it.

Edited by: Asuka Solo on 19/04/2011 13:51:55 I'm so bored of the same old bra.
Could us Gallente girls please have some variety in our underwearz? Maybe something in red, with less lift and more revealage.

I agree, The races should have their own restricted clothing. Now I never saw the film "Barbarella" but I guess I'll take your word for it. When you mentioned the clothing for the Caldari, that was exactly what I was referring too, military style clothing. I wanted to make my Caldari look like a bad guy from a G. I. Joe comic book, lol.

The movie starts off with her floating around in zero-G, naked. She gets a video call and answers in all her morning glory.
And pretty much every 2nd scene she has a wardrobe change in scene. Back in the days of softcore nudity ruling the sci-fi airwaves, this was hardcore stuff.
But you'd be right. Lots of shiny invisible clothing, latex, half piece swim/space suits.

Ok, I know that as soon as you give players something they want, they turn around and ask for more. So here it is.
What I would like to see from the character creator is more clothing options. Right now there isn't a big selection on what you can do with clothing for your character. With the sear amount of players in the EVE universe, runing into many people with the same cloths as you is going to be really common when the ability to walk around in a station is relased. There is alot of room for upgrading in this area.
Tops: More shirts and blouses (thank you for adding cami's). Bottoms: Shorts, more pants, and skirts. Outer: More open style coats. Most of the coats are closed so you can't even see the rest of the outfit.
Another option is to give the ability to control the color of the outfits. Kind of like how the hair color works or just the basic sliders. This will add a wide range of flare for characters to be easier destinguished while roaming about on stations.

I think making use of the creative eve players maybe it be nice if CCP opens up a send in box kind of like the Alliance logo's where they can use it as a open forum for ideas from the community this could ofcourse branch out then to the sleeve tattoo's they mentioned, it would make the clothing more varied because I believe even sometimes EvE artists can run out of ideas =)

I have some amount of faith that CCP is already working on a much more robust line of clothing for all races. At the FanFest they mentioned that they had worked with fashion designers and showed some great concept art. May these lines of clothing and more become a reality soon (tm).

I think they should just update the stuff from the old characters.
Bring back the cyberpunk Gallente
Bring back the militaristic Caldari
Bring back religious Amarr (though I do say they did a pretty good job with Amarr)
And bring back the tribal Minmatar

Well, I can't completely support this idea because we know CCP is doing this. This isn't a SoonV feature. It just takes time to implement.
But, I agree with the idea that they should keep working on it. As long as the clothing fits within eve then I will support it.
I think the clothing added should really never stop until they run out of ideas.
