Hello all. I have a few ideas that I think would be fun / advantageous to the game. Please give feedback on them 8). Feel free to love em or tell me im a moron lol.
1) Gravitywell ship - Similar to a the ship inspired by "Homeworld". This ship would put out a 20km sphere that sucks everything into it. Everything, ships / drones / wrecks / corpses / missiles. The point of this? To potentionally pull gate and station huggers off their exit strategy... caps included. To bring people to blaster range. It would be an activated module and while activated, it could not be remote repped.
2) The anti Cyno platform - Would come in firgate / Battlecruiser / and Battleship sizes. Prices fit to each class. They would have a large buffer, with an activated module that would prevent a cyno from being lit on the grid it is on. While activated the ship cannot be remote repped. It would also have zero offensive capabilities and as the electronics systems would be so powerful it would not be able to fit any tackle either.
Why? Well the prominance of Caps in this game is absolutely silly these days. This would prevent any hotdrops from caps / BO's on the grid of a smaller gang. Now the ships would be expensive .... 50 mil frig / 200 mil BC / 500 mil BS.
Now with this ship only having one purpose the gang / fleet would be able to have a small warning of an incoming hotdrop. The only reason to primary these ships would be to light a cyno or would it? Now some mindgames come into play. Overall the main idea here is to give people in subcaps a warning of an incoming capital / Black ops / or Titan Bridge hotdrop. This way smaller gangs / fleets wont just be omfgwtf pwn'ed.
Remember they are very killable, but the loss of a 500 mil ship or 300 man fleet? Risk vs. Reward!
3) Leeches - yay a new drone again inspired by "Homeworld". Leeches are drones that attach themselves to enemy ships and slowly take away its hp. The point is to bring Smart bombs back into life a little.... as it would be silly to shoot objects attached to your hull. But a smart bomb would pulse them off and kill them.
4) Drone upgrades - Long overdue.... give us rig slots for our drones... damage mods / hp mods / speed mods ect.... Please

1) sounds interesting, essentially a Hictor+bubble with AOE tractoring. Not even sure it shouldn't be able to get repped, just make it immovable (caught in it's own well) while active and not be able to warp off for some time after shutting down it's bubble.
2) I like that, would be a role for a ship based on the tier 2 BC's, highly defensive and not very mobile. It would need severe restrictions like not being able to use titan bridging (would be a weird 'counter' to bridging otherwise, wouldn't it :P). It should be some form of triage mode, can't move, can't warp, can't be repped, cycle time 10 mins.
3) not different from drones in any sort of way really, don't see the point.
4) god oh god YES, finally.

1) You're a moron . Manual flying should count, not someone who can mess with everyone and make them have to also fly away from a point. Also screws with missiles and drones, but then why not guns too? And how do deal with several, and overlapping. Bubbles are enough.
2) How do you force the value of something in eve, without avoiding the market and just going with nps sell orders?
3) So...drones that can't be reassigned? Do they require bandwidth? Do they work if the enemy moves to a different system? Do they count for aggro?
4) Drone ehp and speed rigs exists, as well as optimal and sentry damage to name a few. |

1) with hat logic, warp bubbles should also be removed as they mess with everyone?
2) I'm not even going to answer that one as it's just... dumb
3) completely besides the point
4) MWD speed only and no damage rigs for normal drones, I bolded the important part

No that's not how this works, you have to actually argue your case.
Bubbles don't constantly pull you towards them the way you'd have to adjust your orbits and 'straight' flight paths should there be another true vector added to your motion.
Avoiding the player run market kinda ****es over the many years of eve. Minerals do change in value, I don't do manufacture but is it easy to ensure ships stay expensive as a balance factor?
I'd think they'd be key balance issues as to whether someone can keep you aggroing them or if they continue to take damage over time if they're in a different system to you or you logged. |

The only reasonable change are the drone mods/implants/etc. The rest are just bat**** plagiarisms from a decade old computer game

This would make it very hard for you to pvp.

How about a mod which causes freeze on all ships? like Ragnarok Online
How about a weapon that does more damage when you are cloaked? just like WOW
How about that homeworld ship which disables all frigs? that would be awesome.

I'd love to see gravity wells on planets, having ships that could also produce gravity wells would be interesting too.
would love to see an anti cyno ship
leeches would be kinda cool I'm tempted to fit smartbombs for things more like ecm drones though
