Scenario: HIC warps in on target and pops bubble after the target has already initiated the warp sequence but not yet hit 80% of full speed to achieve warp. I assume the bubble stops the warp from happening? Reason I ask is that I am aware that a HIC bubble deployed, on say a gate, will not stop target from warping all the way to the gate if the bubble goes up after target has started warp from its point of origin. So does a bubble put up at target's point of origin stop warp even after "warp to" has been inititiated?

It is my understanding that until the ship enters the warp tunnel (when the speed gauge suddenly changes after 75%), the ship is vulnerable to being warp disrupted.

This is the case. The warp doesn't start until you've hit 75% max speed in a direction within 5 degrees of your destination. Pretty standard 0.0 tactic is to not use HICs at all, but cheaper regular dictors and pop the bubble once you know if the target's going to warp or burn back to the gate.

yes a bubble activated after starting warp but before entering warp will stop the ship from warping as the bubbls is calculated at the moment the ship enters warp..
this also means that a bubble that was up at the destination at the time of entering warp but deactivated by the time the ship exits warp will still be taken into the calculations for where the ship lands. for example if you are on a gate and turn of your bubble while a ship is in mid warp they will still land several km away from the gate where the edge of the bubble was.

Did not know that! Does the HIC pilot get an agression timer if someone gets dragged by his bubble? Or just if someone in the bubble tries to warp out of it?

Side-note, a bug used to exist that would disable the warp process for T3 ships with bubble immunity subsystems whenever a bubble covering them would go up (they could restart the warp, but due to reaction time it could become dangerous), however that bug was fixed, they no longer get interrupted at all. _
