Man this is annoying ! I was happily enjoying my free trial of EVE and signed up for full version around the same time new patch release this week. and guess wot, i cant play the game for more that 3 mins... freezes, crashes... and yes b4 anyone says anything about drivers etc.. i have gone through the update driver option/virus checked/ even reinstalled repatched game and still back to not be able to play
on looking at the error report log i get the following : -
"File created 2005.02.04 20:37:17 <string>:2484: FutureWarning: hex()/oct() of negative int will return a signed string in Python 2.4 and up..."
which doesnt tell me anything ??!??
please tell me i am not the only person experiencing this problem since patch.....so any help/advice on wot i should do would be appreciated....

Same problem here. Updated all drivers & directx 9.0c Nothing changed. Then disabled sound & kicked 250 out of buddylist and had only 1 ctd in 5 hours. Didn't play Eve long enough to see if prob is fixed.

Since patch alot of people have got the same probs. Espacially the "Destructor called before being closed" error is been crashing people alot. Sometimes just a crash to desktop, sometimes a big blue screen (not a BSOD) and full system hang. Since it seems so many people got the same problem, I think cpp should fix this soon. I love playing eve, but now I cant cuz I crash every 10 minuts in game
Help!

ok guys, after much searching by myself and my wife, an issue was addressed yesterday in another post which sounded very similar to my problem. As well as getting all the log messages, my computer would restart. So, after reading the soundblaster issue, my wife decided to move my soundcard to a new slot, so it now sits 1 slot away from my graphics card. This has now sorted all my crash probs. Last night was my first night back on Eve for almost a month without having to log in every few minutes. Might not be your specific prob but worth a try I guess. Hope it works guys!

XP by default autoreboots instead of showing you a bluescreen... so you've probably had many more before -- The best description of alliances, ever:

Edited by: Skogen Gump on 11/02/2005 08:13:35 XP Autoreboots, but you can still see the blue screen for a split second - depending on your system ...
Anyway, the only Error of concern here is the one regarding objects that get disposed before being closed ... from a programers point of view, this is Bad mmkay ?
The other messages are simply friendly messages from Stackless python delivered in such a way that a programmer can't fail to notice that a function they are using will not be supported in future versions of the Python DLL.
FYI, the current version on Stackless is only 2.3 whereas the current version of normal 'CPython' is 2.4.
