Considering this is the quality of the opponents he usually faces, I wouldn't worry too much.

Just kill him/her. If your corp has more than 10 people, packing all of them into random T1 cruisers and just blindly selecting everything in your cargohold and fitting it should be enough to deal with this problem.
There's two tricks to pvp in Eve.
1. Everything is fair. 2. Lose your attachment to your ships, and fly cheap.

I removed that link as a just in case. I know the website, scribd.com, but having our security guys check out the link to be on the safe side....
In the mean time you can Google "surviving a war dec" and learn a lot about how to deal with your predicament.

Drop your mining/industry characters to the NPC corp while the wardec lasts, use your other ones to try and trap the person attacking you. Or find a highsec alliance to join to at least increase wardec costs and maybe find some more capable buddies.
This forum is a lot more crime than punishment so don't expect any help. In fact you might expect the opposite.

Edited by: Ehnea Mehk on 05/03/2011 18:14:16 Sorry about that, guys. I've gone to that site many times and never had issues with it, no trojans, no viruses, nothing. It's even flagged green on the websearch by my antivirus and internet security software. As a further point, it's where we received our copy of Surviving a WARDEC
However, if I did a blunder without knowing, I want to say I am sorry to CCP and the EVE Online player community for that.
EDIT: added screenshot of web search scan result to show I took precautions before downloading the book (which is in my bookmarks)

I also get virus warnings from scribd, i believe it's their online advertising as friends from different countries get different ads up and don't get any warnings. However, where i am, My browser tells me the website is unsafe, but my virus scanner doesn;t come up with anything.
I'm assuming keyloggers and the like can't be installed on your computer just by opening a web page?

They can, depending on the page. I've had antivirus go bat**** insane over some sites before. Although, that was before I switched away from IE.

You can get **** from google ads if a bad one happens to slip by (malicious flash). It happens...photobucket and imageshack get them from time to time as well. - - [SERVICE] Corp Standings For POS anchoring

That's a good point. I'm from Canada (per the Toronto reference on the left in my screenshot) so maybe I won't see any trojans in the advertising.
As a followup regarding Kaspersky Anti-Virus, we considered the corporate edition at our place of work, but it fell out of the running because it reported too many false positives. It's a great security solution, but the marketing department got hissed off at the many warnings about their video making software being supposedly virus-infested. We ended up using Norton Internet Security Corporate Edition in the end, which many companies in Canada use anyways. Ehnea Mehk
