I don't know how the aggression penalty work so maybe someone could help me with this? Every time you attack someone you get aggression penalty and sometimes you get ship kill penalty, but when do you get the ship kill?
I think you don't get it when the target shoot back at you, right?
If you are two persons shooting a target and he shoot back at one of you, the one that didn't get shoot at now have a kill right against him but did he also get ship kill penalty?
So do you get a ship kill penalty everytime you get a kill right against you? or does shooting at one person in the attacking fleet remove the skip kill penalty for all of them?

Let's use your example, 2 against 1. Call the pilots A,B, and C, with C as the eventual victim.
Let's say A and B close on C and target him, and that C targets both back. Just for fun, we'll say that C scrams A and webs B. Since C has now aggressed both ships, he will get 2x aggression penalty. A and B will get no aggression penalty for tackling C, or for firing on him.
So, now A and B fire on C and C fires back at one of them, say A.
If C were to kill A, he would get a kill status loss. But, since both A and B are aggressing C, if either kills C, both will suffer a kill status loss.
Kill rights are altogether different. C would only get kill rights on either A or B if he made no aggressive move whatsoever. If he dies with no aggression on his part at all, then he will get kill rights on the pilot that landed the final blow. I am not sure if he gets kill rights on the other attacker or not,

This thread is missing something important...
magical creatures, these brutes feast on the flesh of the dead. They vary in color from shades of dark green, to slightly blue. They tend to live in caves and are solitary predators.
That's right. Trolls.

And now for a relevant reply, god these alt trolls are spastics.
Them shooting back has no relevance. You get the ship kill sec loss for... killing their ship! The difference in severity of the hit depends on the system you are in.

I don't think it work like that. Yesterday me and a friend was backstop the others was shooting at this ship and he was able to jump back deep in structure i pointed him and the other guy shoot and insta poped it and i got a ship kill penalty for that, only used my point, no other mods at all.
10 min after i found a abaddon ratting so i attacked him and he was shooting back but i killed him and i didn't get a ship kill penalty. A friend later killed a caracal that was shooting back at him and he also didn't get a ship kill penalty.

Sounds like you've got it all figured out then. So why bother asking?

I could be wrong, but I think it works like this: Attack a ship illegally, and get a illegal aggression penalty to sec status along with a GCC. If the ship aggresses you in turn, it becomes a legal fight and no sec penalty will apply to the kill. If the ship doesn't fight back against you, then you get another penalty for an illegal kill. However, I don't normally take part in low-sec PVP so I really don't know for certain. ______________________________________________________ Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? |

I hope CCP can ban poeple DOCKING in a Station where their Standing is -10 to that Faction. I dont know why they Allowed poeple docking in that Station Its like allowing a person going inside ur haus even though u know him as a murderer or a theif. I hope CCP can get my Point. If u are not allowed in a System why can u dock?

I could be wrong, I often am, but it seems like the difference between your security status and their security status will also affect the amount of sec hit you recieve. I always seem to take more of a hit if they have a higher security status than I do, but that's only if I initiate aggression. - - [SERVICE] Corp Standings For POS anchoring

The mechanics of this are actually quite simple:
- if you initiate hostilities (activate any hostile mod) on someone, you get an aggression sec hit - if, after that initial hositlity on your behalf, you go on to kill the ship, you also get a ship destruction hit - however, if someone initiates hostilities against you, you get to attack them freely and can blow up their ship (within 15 mins) - there is no sec hit for aggression OR ship destruction as the other party aggressed you.
Think about it - it wouldn't make sense if you were allowed to fire back on someone in self defense but to not destroy them (or take a sec hit for defending yourself)- you're allowed fire on them and to neutralize the threat (blow up their ship) without punishment. |

Thank you for reiterating what I said above, but much more succinctly. Very clear and to the point.
