I find it quite amusing seeing all these little alliances claiming that they in some way 'beat' IT... they smashed on the doors for months, and IT gave barely any ground at all - hardly even bothered with CTAs.
Long after the assault started IT member corps decided, with some minor disagreement but largely with mutual consent, that there are far more interesting things to do in Eve.
Another moral victory for IT, who care more for enjoyment and staying true to the 'spirit' of PVP than for the tedium of blob warfare.
Eve threw everything it had at IT, and it barely wobbled. Grats to the incredible pilots of IT for controlling the game again, and starting a new chapter.

You do know that IT fell apart right? Not sure how that can be considered a victory.... Nothing in education is so astonishing as the amount of ignorance it accumulates in the form of facts. |

Sure IT was rotten to the core but it took 2 mths of aggression from clusterf#### to topple that hollow man. Until the successful siege of 6VK, IT were putting together 200 ship fleets and impressive capital numbers.
It's hilarious how IT are rewriting history, the Fountain campaign was not a walk in the park, it was hard fought and was the catalyst for ITs implosion.

So in short they "didn't want that space anyway" and just decided to leave ENTIRELY of their own free will? There was certainly no drama in IT or corps jumping ship to save themselves, that was all propaganda amirite?
Originally by: General Windypops Another moral victory for IT, who care more for enjoyment and staying true to the 'spirit' of PVP than for the tedium of blob warfare.
IT were quite happy to blob the smaller DC super fleet when it suited them, so don't start crying when we solve the problem and counterblob theirs. IT -WOULD- have thrown more people at us if they could (look at leaked mails raging about numbers), but their participation was low, moral was nonexistent and victories were few.

That is until a bunch of noobs in rifters defecated in their cereal and burned their 'fortress'. Enjoy that new chapter, in empire.

Save themselves???? What kind of drivel are you talking? Let's look at the facts.
- IT faced alliances that had about 12 to 15 times their number of players and held their space with impressive ease. They lost only one significant system.
- When a small number of member corps did decided to leave it was announced with composure and style.
I actually think what BoB / IT have done is phenomenal - they decided to bow out at their peak, with dignity.
