ReportBots.com Bot Report Tool is now in Alpha testing. I would appreciate any feedback regarding how the tool performs in different browsers, including the in-game browser (which this tool *should* work with). We've done a lot of testing already but are inviting others to use the full features of the tool and report any problems.

About ReporBots.com No longer will the capsuleers of New Eden stand for the macro's, bot's and other automated playing mechanisms that are abused by Real Money Transfer (RMT) companies, large alliances and lazy capsuleers everywhere. Learn How To Spot Bots Our extensive library will instruct you on the various things to look out for when judging if a toon is running a bot program. Some, like mining bots, are easy to spot. Others, like PI bots, aren't so easy. We'll break it down for you and once you think you have it down pat, take our Certified Bot Expert (CBE) test and become an Elite bot hunter! Report the characters you suspect or confirmed are running bots Our Bot Reporting Tool will help you to quickly and easily report the characters you suspect of running bots and will help your fellow players isolate and eliminate vulnerable targets. Certified Bot Expert's earn reward points for every report they issue - redeemable towards in-game goods and services! Quickly generate bot reports for EVE petitions Since our friends at CCP are weilding the ban hammer of Unholy Rage, let's encourage them to use it more often by giving them a hand keeping tabs on the bots that plague our beloved game. After you file a report with us, we'll give you the option to generate a nicely formatted cut and paste message you can send to CCP via petition to let them know that you, too, want CCP to take a stand against the abuse of their gaming universe.
View the most actively reported characters Based on the data we collect and the data other denizens of New Eden collect and report using our system, we will be able to generate reports of the most actively reported characters in New Eden. Find corporations full of bots to hammer into oblivion Characters come in corps. Some bot toons get greedy and want to keep all the ISK they earn doing... well, nothing. Using our tools you will be able to easily spot corporations with multiple reported bot toons to wardec and eliminate as you see fit!
Learn where the 'botspots' in New Eden are Instead of 'hotspots', our aim is to demonstrate the 'botspots' in New Eden by providing the most reported locations of bots, both starting and ending locations, and known travel routes too!
Expose the filthy underbelly of New Eden for all to see Let's face it. Running bots is lazy and profitable for the characters, corporations and alliances running them for their own benefit. But, what does this do for the rest of us? Aside from the obvious drain on resources like asteroids, planets and missions, there is also the cost to the Eve economy to consider. How much ISK is being lost for those that work hard for it to those that get it while they're not even at the computer?

Thanks for the feedback guys!
UPDATE: We've moved on to our evidence section, where reported bots go for all the world to see. It's still in early stages of development, but we're opening it up to suggestions/comments.

Also, we made a few more modifications to our report tool - when used with the in-game browser it will now show links for more info for characters, corporations and alliances. We've also tidied up a few jQuery bits and bobs we noticed were causing odd behaviors with the in-game browser. We're pretty happy with the report tool at this point and will not likely be making any more modifications until we tie the CBE bits into it later this week.

I can see no possible use for this except submitting fake reports to bait people into attacking you. Nice site though. --

Thank you for sharing that concern Catari - it is one we share and have been planning for from the get-go. While using our system to file false reports in hopes someone may use it to attack the reported toon may seem like a possible use for the site... many, many steps have been (and are being) taken to reduce the chances of our system being abused or used for any other purpose but to report actual bots. While I cannot say with 100% certainty that people will not attempt to file false reports, the system is engineered such that not only are reports weighted, but repeatedly reporting the same toon by the same person will be met with much resistance... to name just a couple of checks and balances built into the system. In short, we're taking steps to ensure that our system is not only accurate, but fair and not very easily abused. Furthermore, as the site gets more use and use cases we hadn't considered come up we can address them, so 'abuse' will be met with a 'plug in the hole', as it were. ;P

BETA BABY!
The new report system is now in full beta testing. BETA TEST REPORT SYSTEM. You may now begin using our system to file bot reports and generate a CCP petition using the formatted petition text provided by our system!
I repeat - our tool is now out of alpha phase testing and *all reports* entered henceforth shall remain in the database.
Thank you to all the folks who helped us during the alpha phase of our report tool development - we look forward to your continued support as we hammer out the remainder of the site!
