EVE Online: Incursion 1.1.2 will be deployed to Tranquility during downtime this Thursday, January 27, 2010. Downtime will begin at 11:00 UTC and will be completed by 14:00 UTC. A full list of patch notes are available here and new additions have been added in green text. To assist our Mac users we will provide a detailed listing of Mac patch notes and known issues along with useful advice on how to use the mac repair tool and a guide on reporting issues. Patch notes for 1.1.2 (deployed January 27th)
òResolved a number of crash issues introduced with Incursion 1.1.1
òFixed an issue where the In Game Browser on the Mac client was truncating HTTP header values to a single letter so adding websites to trusted sites list should work as expected again.
Known issues for 1.1.2
òVarious crash issues on client startup, please contact customer support for help in resolving these. Some users have reported that clearing the client cache resolves this issue for them, please note that any direct editing of preference files is never recommended.
òAA cannot be turned on if you also have depth effects enabled, this is something we are looking into. Not sure when or if we will be able to support both in parallel.
òCommand key no longer works for shortcuts, it still works for copy and paste etc.
Patch notes for 1.1.1 (deployed January 20th)
òClient crash on exit (buffer overrun) should no longer happen.
òFixed an issue where closing the in game browser, would spawn an Exception raised issue on the Mac.
òFixed an issue with drop down menus in the IGB.
Patch notes for 1.1.0 (deployed January 18th)
òAntialiasing is now disabled for Leopard users to avoid client startup problems.
òSwitching between windowed and full screen can now be done via the ESC menu.
òUsers can now choose to disable Multithreaded OpenGL via ESC menu settings, this option affects CPU load and graphics performance.
òRunning EVE in the background should no longer severely slow down other applications.
Other useful info
òShortcuts have been changed, for an example the quit client shortcut is now: ALT+SHIFT+Q òEditing prefs files to start the client in windowed mode no longer works as it used to, please note that you can now change these settings via the ESC menu. òIf you run into any issues try running the repair tool first: 1. Download the Mac repair tool from here. The repair tool will be packaged as a .tgz file 2. Double click the file to extract 3. Double click on the extracted file 'EVE Online Repair.app' 4. When prompted, select the EVE Online client you use to connect to Tranquility and click open 5. The repair tool will auto start and when it displays the text 'complete', press close 6. Run your EVE client as normal
Please use this format for reporting any issues in this thread:
òDescription of problem, the more verbal the better òHardware info (Mac model, GPU, CPU, RAM etc.) òOS version òStep by step guide to what causes the issue òStep by step guide to any workaround that has resolved the issue for you

Since Incursion 1.0.0, I have had missing ship images as stated above, Also Pre-Incursion I had no Problems using the mouse-wheel to scroll in windows, or zoom in space. But Post-Incurssion it has been "sluggish" It doesnt respond sometimes and i have to roll it up and down inexplicably to get to scroll or zoom. Other then that So far I havn't encountered many errors. loading the planet view can be "Slightly" sluggish now but it its miner. And of course auto-patching has been a pain. For me the "Modified" File has been a wineserver Sha1 error. But repairtool got it fixed for me.

Just pasted errors not OK things. Using MAC client.
CCP Navigator instructed me to repost here this issue. I just downloaded patch and now can't play at all. Really not planning on downloading full 4.something gigabytes.
Please give us some solution to this

Got a crash while docking an obelisk. Error message was "exception raised at" something. I tried to copy the message, but for some reason it did not copy. At the time I was docking, the journal was open to the incursions tab. I tried to reproduce twice without success.

Multiple VERIFICATION FAILED after attempting to download the client anew.
Since patch failed my Mac client was trash so I deleted it and have made 3 attempts to download the client new. All 3 times the Disk Image verification process fails. |

No CTDs in a couple of hours of semi-AFK courier runs this morning. Usually I'd have 2-3. Thanks, CCP (and/or Transgaming, as appropriate)!

Edited by: Manssell on 27/01/2011 20:38:20 Sadly confirming that the black boxes still show up for most ships, stations, stargates, and about half my inventory. Found out last night it's really frustrating to try to run a mission like that since I don't have all those npc names memorized but can recognize a cruiser or bc from their image. I guess it's better than the poor blokes who can't even get it to run.
Oh, and why is it a black box with an "!" in it? I would think a black box with a "?" would be more accurate.

Client crash on exit (with no buffer overrun message or other notifications).
It is an existing issue from Incursion 1.1.1, whereby, the client and OS just freeze up on exit from the game. Trying to force quit fails along with any other attempt to fix the problem without having to manually shut down the computer by holding down the power button.
I'm using a Macbook Pro, 2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM.
Operating Mac OS X 10.5.8
What I've found increases my chances of exiting the client without having to do the troublesome and concerning task of forcing shut down by holding the power button down is to zoom as far out as I can, before proceeding to slowly, and with some delay (i.e. holding the left mouse button down) selecting the quit option. It improves my odds to getting out of the client successfully to maybe 2 out of 5 times. Simply selecting quit without zooming out and without holding the button down for a bit is almost guaranteed to cause the client to fail.
Another interesting observation is that manually shutting down the computer (by holding down the power button) too soon/quickly after the client freezes seems to render the cache lame or something. Because the client, upon starting it up for the first time after the forced shut down, requests you to accept all the End-User agreements and resets everything except the channels to which you were previously in.
I am also experiencing the problem involving ship, npc ships, drones and possibly some other images/potraits not showing properly, and just being a black box with a white exclamation mark.
I managed to get my ship to warp to a jump gate while pointing in the wrong direction (it was pointing about 45 degrees left of the direct of travel). It was in a Badger Mk II on a low-skilled character, so it wasn't like in a freighter or other large ship where you start warping while you finish turning into the right direction.

I would just like to voice my displeasure with the fact that EVERY SINGLE TIME you guys release my patch it screws up all my clients, and I have to redownload the entire damn build and install from scratch.
WTF.

I'm also having another strange issue where local and chat windows do not update the numbers of players at the top of the bar. It works fine at first, then after a few I'll notice the local tab still says 3 people in system, but when I bring up the local window (windows stacked) it will show no one in system. Same with my other chat windows, people come and go but the tab numbers never change.

I'm having an issue where the game freezes every time I try to quit. I can still move the mouse, but my computer becomes totally unresponsive. I can't force quit, or alt tab, or do anything except a hard reboot. The log off button works fine (client restarts), but every time I use the quit button the game totally locks up.
I'm using a macbook (the aluminum one), OSX 10.5.8, and have a 2GHz Intel Core Duo processor with 4GM of RAM. Help?

Regarding crashing to desktop. It is better in that the crashes occur with much less frequency now. However, if I click between planets on the Science and Industry window too quickly I will still unceremoniously crash. I am doing this to inspect installations, thus am quickly moving from planet to planet using the S&I window as the controller. I have pushed most of the window off-screen leaving only the info I need to access visible.
After submitting required actions I do not "Exit Planet mode" but instead click on the relevant System Name to move to the next. Performance gets more sluggish and jumpy and finally stops altogether with the FInder being the next view. The crash always occurs just after the double click to access the next planet.

performing multiple crashes with no messages and reason.
but most important: 1) with this new patch when i'm in a station i can no longer move the p.o.v. 2) wen my ship pops the capsule's hud moves in the top left corner and it shows me the ship mods still active. 3) when i'm podded and back in station i can no longer activate a ship and the right mouse option didn't works on anything, so i have to relog (and this is frustrating when you're in a fleet) 4) still have problems with audio effects (they suddenly appear or disappear)

Anyone else getting a "Corp hangar" bug???
Be at a POS, have a corp hangar open with a ship that has a pos hangar also. Jump while the POS corp hangar is open. Corp hangar doesn't close when you leave system, and then you are locked out your ships corp hangar. ie you can't move fuel from your corp hangar to fuel bay, so in order to refuel, you have to relog.
Graphics glitch: If you have your client set to windowed mode, when you start client, it goes to full screen, then flashes to windowed mode, SiSi didn't do this and it is very annoying.
Background apps: HUGE GIGANTIC difference with and without multi threaded OPEN GL. With it unchecked after like 3-4 clients they are all crawling and backgrounds grind to a halt. With it checked, I can run all 10 clients and all clients and all background apps run perfectly fine. Not sure if this is right or night, but that is how it works for me.
I have NO idea what causes this, but if i am typing in a chat tab, all of a sudden I will swap tabs, it is always to the same tab. It happens random and I don't know if i hit a keystroke or what accidentally, but it is VERY VERY annoying. The other side effect from this is the next thing.....
Opening mail or swapping chat tabs takes 3-20 seconds and client is FROZEN during this time. Now, i do have about 18 or so chat windows at most times, plus convos. My mail box normally gathers anywhere from 15-50 mails a day, but opening them cause everything to stop.

It's annoying as hell.

My Bug report has gone unanswered.... no ones saying anything... WTH?

While I am whining, I might as well mention everything:
Have many chat windows open....
Start a private convo or seven :(
Now, have a bunch of chat windows blinking....(You can ignore most of them BTW)
Finally finish a private convo and wave goodbye :)
Close the private convo window.....BAM...all other chat windows stop blinking

I have been having plenty of problems with the game since the latest patch. Lots of crashes while playing and failures in loading the game. I'll launch the game and it will just sit there and never take me to the login screen. I need to restart the computer to get it working.

Quits without warning, no debug report or anything.. Read the 68-reply thread. And ffs CCP answer SOMETHING on these forums about the multi-uninitaited app shutdowns.... Show us that you actually read this stuff... Cleared the crash; re-installed the client, ran the repair tool.. still crashes like a blind & drunk race car driver...

Just so its in this thread:
I get crashes when going to PI mode. To reproduce:
Set graphics to high. Get in space. Pick a planet, go to planet view mode. If it did not crash, pick another and view it. Repeat. Usually 1 to 10 times is sufficient.
If I set the graphics to low the problem seems to go away. Bug report filed.
