You are a child. Period. Else you should be on work at this time if you are a EU.
What about people who work shift's so don't work "normal" 9-5 jobs? :) ---------- EVEStuff.net - High Quality Corp & Alliance Web Hosting |

Originally by: CCP Navigator During the deployment of EVE Online: Incursion 1.1.1 we discovered several issues in testing which have resulted in the patch postponement. Full details can be found in this news item.
We will provide an update later today as to when we expect to reschedule the deployment and we thank you for your patience and understanding.
why were these issues not found when you tested todays update on SiSi?

It wasn't on Sisi.
Anyways CCP I'm glad for the time and effort you put into the game.

Exactly, so we are made to suffer yet again for CCPs incompetence.
They are getting better, but they still have a long way to go to achieve this so-called 'excellence'.

Considering extended downtimes for not deploying patches now take about as long as the extended downtimes in which a patch is actually deployed, I say that's not an unreasonable state of mind.
You do realize we will get another DT of that duration to get it done properly...

Only in the sense of frustration at what CCP seems to think an adequate level of customer service is. For any product/service, your only as good as your support levels are. Without customers, your nothing. I admit CCP are getting better, but you need to be good from the bottom upwards. If you cant get the fundamental things right, there is eventually a time when everything collapses because the foundations just collapse.

For such a major patch, this is actually quite tame.

I'd say we are pretty much aware by now of the scale of CCP's QA team incompetence. Its the same thing.

lol... the DT is in the middle of the day for the EU... you should be so thankful. I'd be more than happy with a daily DT of the middle of the day in the Australia TZ.
We're the ones that get the butt hurt all the time because DT last night was our prime. 20H00 to 23H00 / 21H00 to 00H00 (DST). So please. Hush.

This. I cannot comprehend how (a) major bugs were not picked up in testing and (b) that a modern day Agile corporation allows fixes to bypass QA testing OUTSIDE of production, especially when there were so many last-minute fixes being cramed into this attempt.

The aussies suffer a lot during these downtimes. Normal DT is at 9pm east coast. These homo 3-4 hr downtimes start at around 6-7pm and last until we have to go to bed because of work etc. It gets quite frustrating when you cant play a game that you pay a lot of money for (5 accounts), for 3 days in a row. Its now Friday night and the patch that was meant to be installed yesterday is now rolled to tonight...wtf did they spend last nights extended DT doing?

Whining. Check. Inability to use punctuation. Check. Inability to use proper capitalisation. Check. Disregard for grammar. Check. Disregard for spelling. Check. Claims age, progeny and self employment. Check. Overweened sense of entitlement. Check. Egotistical character name with a title. Check.
Are you sure you are an adult?
Yes, I know. This is the internet and you don't have to communicate in a legible and understandable fashion.
And yes, I know that for you, like for me, English is not your first language.
And yes, despite running a business you've never ever had a problem when dealing with a deployment of this scale and this number of customers.
I know.
Now excuse me while I go look up abreviacion in my dictionarium and contemplate how much harder the downtime hits those of us in timezones where it's actually prime time when it's your lunch time.

I was going to say... are you mad? They surely wouldn't do that to us two nights in a row?!? And then as I was logging into the forums I saw this:
Quote:
EVE Online: Incursion 1.1.1 will be deployed on Friday, January 21, 2011. Incursion 1.1.1 addresses several issues and updates to Incursion 1.1.0 and includes the ability to redo ones' portrait in the character creator (please see this dev blog for more information).
Damnit CCP. 3 nights of like no playing for us on this side of the world. I not-so-silently-fume at you.

Please, PLEASE try to fix something tonight. Extended downtimes three times in one week in the middle of Australasian TZ prime time is really getting annoying. Paying for a game I can't play in my evenings is making me reconsider my subscription. http://www.ezy-english.com/ |
