Welcome!
EvE Investment Firm is truly only one character. He is station-bound in a large region where he can operate at maximum efficiency. As most players understand, trading can be very lucrative if you have the capital to do it effectively. This is where EvE Investment Firm comes in: the capital for trades is generated by investments and the return (15%) is made by the profit from these trades.
Now this may seem to be a mighty task, coming up with a 15% margin. I guarantee it can be done, however. I have carefully created many spreadsheets to track market data and follow my ISK to the dime. These spreadsheets would also track your money (as investments) as well.
My Information: In EvE, I grew up as a fighter. I was always killing and losing ships but could never find a steady source of income. These investments provide a solution to problems like this. Whether you are a manufacturer looking for a steady income to supplement your sell orders or a combat pilot looking to finance a new HAC, EvE Investment Firm will provide you with 15% interest on top of your own money; there is no labor involved. You help me to make my ISK, so I help you to make yours as well.
You may always find a way to contact me. I answer to EvE-Mails (Mikalov) and direct emails ([email protected]). The website, though still in production, will be eve-investments.com. I am not here to hide your money; it will always be in plain view. You won't worry because there will be no need to. If you wake up in a cold sweat, send me an email and I'm sure to respond (unless I'm asleep in real life). If you are in need of an update and I haven't posted one, you may contact me personally and I will do as best I can to update your account.
Now into the technical details: To open an account, EvE-Mail Mikalov with your character name and the amount of ISK you would like to invest. In return, Mikalov will send a Reference ID number to identify your account. The minimum investment is 1,000,000 ISK. The maximum balance is 100,000,000 ISK. Players must keep track of their own balances, as they will be posted bi-weekly to help keep players up-to-date. (This balance sheet will come in the form of an Excel sheet, posted on a soon-to-come website.)
Deposits may be made at any time via the "Give Money" feature. The player must include their own Reference ID in the Reason box for the deposit to be posted. All Deposits without Reference IDs will be accepted as donations. Deposits will be posted in a timely fashion, but with no guarantee to the exact time parameters.
Interest is compounded monthly on the current balance in the account at the time it is compounded. Interest rate is 15% but is subject to change based on market. Any changes will be noted on the website and will take one full, calendar month to take effect. The date that the interest is compounded will be one month from the date of first investment (ie. Player1 invests 1,000,000 ISK on January 17th, 2011. The first interest payment will occur on February 17th, 2011, the second on March 17th, 2011, etc.).
Withdrawls may be made at any time. Withdrawls take 48 hours to process. There is a 2% fee to all withdrawls.
If you'd like to chat and discuss your opportunities, feel free to contact me.

EvE Mail sent with Reference ID. Awaiting first investment.
assassinator has a very good idea:
If you are unsure and you would like to try, do so with a small amount. Remember, I pay interest on everything and the minimum investment is 1,000,000 ISK.

Just read your own API on an hourly basis, take donations as deposits, identify by characterID, account for first time character donations, and track via a simple bank account structure.

He could do this on an daily or every other day, and I don't think anyone would flinch over that point. So long as he was clear how often he was doing this.

Fair enough, pick an interval, stick with it. So long as it's clear and consistent.

Yes, but I'm also not putting much into it either. If he ends up running it isn't any skin off my teeth.

Vaerah, I think I understand why you think this will fail. You believe people will put in money just before it is compounded and remove it. I have noted up above that deposits will be posted in a timely fashion. If I believe that people are trying to play the system, I reserve the right to remove them from my business with a refund of initial deposit only.

Finally, I refer to all of my characters independently. With 3 different characters, it is easy to get lost in subject pronouns . I did grow up as a fighter; my first two characters were combat only. Mikalov was specifically designed to be a trader. Please nitpick because it helps me to dispel rumors.

Why not compound daily?
With an SQL script scheduler you could do it pretty easily once a day at a set time (say, midnight). It would prevent people from trying to play the system.
In addition, doing by calendar month means that the period of return varies (months have different numbers of days in).

I was offered 1% of all withdrawals.
With all of the work that he put into that website of his, and researching past successes, like yours, something tells me any work I did for his project would be a waste.
Speaking of licensing bank code, one time I inquired about licensing Ebank's code and the response I was given was something akin to 500 B isk. He could always go that route.

In addition, doing by calendar month means that the period of return varies (months have different numbers of days in).
Over the course of one year the end balance is the same - assuming an initial investment of 1,000,000 ISK, the final balance would be 5350250.10 ISK (rounded down), in both cases.
Just a thought...
If I compound daily, the total after one day is 1,150,000 ISK, then the next day I would pay 15% on top of that and so on and so forth. That compounds quickly and would easily bankrupt me. Either way, be it simple or compound interest, the more often I compound, the more I pay.
If I use simple interest on 1,000,000 ISK and compound daily, I would pay 150,000 ISK a day. If I were to use compound interest, it would be even more. If I were to compound daily, I would have to lower my rate to even stand a chance.

No, you misunderstand, I am not suggesting you compound at 15% daily. As you suggest after a week or two the interest earned would be incredible.
At the moment, you are planning to compound like this
BALANCE x (1 + 0.15)
Every month.
If you compound like this
BALANCE x (1 + 0.15)^(12/365)
DAILY, the results after 1 month is the same.
Here's what I mean
ps. the mean number of days in a month is 30.417, which is which the balance of 1150000 isn't shown on the daily calc (it's 'in between' day 30 and 31)

I've got it now Turzyx. You're using a rate exponent (time over number of times compounded). I wasn't factoring that in. Yes, this would be more efficient for myself and investors and you will see updates once all investors are notified.
