I would like to know which ship is most likely to kill gang of 2-3 SBs in say an asteroid belt?
I can fly all T2 ships in the game, and I would like to spend less than 300 mil on this ship if possible (e.g. probably not a T3).
The ability to cloak is a strong plus.

If you can catch them and land inside scram range, an autocannon thrasher would quite easily do it

A heavy pulse zealot would probably pop them all just as fast as you could switch targets as even the ones with a medium extender are going to have a massive em hole. The problem though is going to be getting them to engage. Otherwise an aml caracal would shred them in short order too. Just fit it with a single hml to shoot at the belt rats so they think you are not packing aml in the rest of the highs.

Why use Caracal when you can go for an overkill: Nighthawk with precision missiles 1 maybe 2 volleys should be more than enough.
Just joking... Use Caracal

the trick is catching them 1vgang, if they no you can kill them they wont uncloak unless they know they have an edge

If 3 sb's are all there is in system try an aml drake with 2 invu, 3 sebo(scan scripted), point and AB if your confident in your skills.
If they don't bite on a drake, you can assume they have read this thread and know you're up to something. ----------- Why is it called common sense, when it's clearly very rare.
I had a mind once, but alas, I seem to have forgotten where I left it.

umm i was only joking about the cloaked smartbombing battle ship even if it would work, obviously i didnt make that very clear... stealth bombers and frigates in general never use smart bombs unless flown by a noob wondering what the hell they are? stealth bombers use bomb launchers ssimilar but not really

Stealth bomber are easy to kill - most frigates slaughter them, medium autocannons and missiles blast them.
Whenever we run into gangs that include stealth bombers, people tend to pop bombers with a cycle or two of their guns while moving to primary.
Only problem is getting them to decloak, you'd be better off baiting with a battleship and then coming in with an arty thrasher.

A rifter.... or a jag. Bit of tank, alot of sebo, and alot of speed.
Or if they are using bombs instead of torps, a tanked cane with some Sebos and 220's can do the job fine

Lots of things can kill a stealth bomber: Any AF, most destroyers, AML Caracal, etc. Some of these can kill multiple stealth bombers.
Fewer things can kill multiple stealth bombers and will actually be engaged by the stealth bombers.

3x bombers? T2 fitted rifter. Fight should end with you at 99% shield assuming you're armor tanked.
Thus far you shall read, but no further; for this is my sig. |
