How good are these implants? I read the full set gives -20.7 to signiture. So a stilleto will have around 24 sig radius, thats 1 less than a pod and a pod will be in the teens. I also 'instalocks are limited to max .5 seconds andthats extremely hard to get to because of diminishing returns. In reality it can only get to like .7 at most
I can see why this would help, but how much does it? Is it even possible to catch this kind of pod if warp is spammed? What about a ship who's owner has these in? Anyone have any experience with these?

A pod without implants is damned hard to catch under normal circumstances. Just keep a pod saver tab without any brackets or anything beyond celestials and gates, spam warp when you hit structure. Your pod should get out. If it doesn't, you lagged.

Halo implants are good on some ships.
I do not see why it is so important to save pod if you do not have any expensive implants, example halo set , or if you do not have lot of skill points, it may be quite expensive to buy new clone.
Buying implant for saving pod is more isk lost on worst scenario.

Actually, a pod can never be caught because it has no align time, it always warps instantly. It's only incompetents who get their pods locked. Smartbombs are a different matter. _________________ --- Snatch Victory - Rivqua - Omega Wing ---

This, only lag, smartbombs or idiocy kills pods outside of 0.0 (where of course bubbles make it impossible to warp away anyway). As for the halo set the damge reduction factor and difficulty to scan down are far more useful than targetting time.

Buying expensive implants so you can save your expensive implants seems a bit roundabout.

Well with inti V you would have only about 5% sig penalty for acctivating a MWD if that tells you anything.

Find some strong x-instinct booster and have a skirmish ganglinked loki and you get your stiletto at 15 sig

A set of high-grade Halos (minus the Omega) did me good when my alliance went to Pure Blind to make war. I'm quite certain the implants paid for themselves several times over just in ship hulls saved. I never lost the pod of the clone with the Halos either -- it survived nine months of war to be sold with the character a couple of weeks ago. ----- Ambush. Hit and run. Gank before tank. Speed is life. |
