About Meta Items, it looks like meta 1-4 are remaining the same for id purposes? Can you verify? (aka no change). Personally I'd really like the meta 4s to be clearer, but I'll take any progress I can get.
As to T2 Ammo, thank you guys very much! Very nice modification.
To the players who don't want to go to ORE, don't worry it will come to you ... for a price. Its still better than T2 moon mats, get in a cloaked ship and go, you'll have more fun than rolling a barrel of goons down a hill.

You could hire a more skilled pilot to buy one for you. God forbid you have to interact with other people in this massive multiplayer online role playing game.

And I don't have any interest in going to highsec, but that's where all the big market hubs are, it's not fair! There isn't a single station near me that seeds skill books when I want to train something new. No NPC stations to seed blueprints!

Last I heard Javelin is a missile. Anyway, I think they were just modifying the ammo that never sees any real use. If there's ammo that is used on a regular basis, they figure it was fine as is, and didn't bother touching it.

Could anyone testing on sisi please confirm, that conflag has NO tracking penalty now? Or, it would be better if a ccp staff could confirm that conflag is not going to have any tracking penalty.
Its very ****** up that the rocket balancing feedback thread is up for like a month, and T2 ammos are going to be released without official response to any questions raised regarding them.

- Rockets have had an explosion velocity boost. It means they will inflict more damage on faster moving targets whilst also gaining a straight damage boost through changes to rocket damage and rocket launcher rate of fire.
- The Ships section of the market has been reorganized and is now primarily sorted by hull class. In addition, all faction and special release ships have been added to the market so you can now trade them there in addition to contracts.
- A ôVolumeö column has been added to the hangar view by default; ôCategoryö, ôMeta Levelö and ôTech Levelö have been added as optional columns. Individual columns now can be toggled on and off through the right click menu.
- You can now rename ships in your hangar without making them active.
(Just highlighting my favorites)
This all, of course, begs the question: "Who are you and what have you done to the real CCP guys, producers of such ... erhm ... suboptimal releases such as Tyrannis?"

Edited by: Xero Cell on 27/11/2010 11:25:26 Wow, this expansion looks really great! Awesome work, CCP!
A lot of people are complaining that there isn't enough ground breaking changes in Incursion. But I disagree with this way of thinking. Eve doesn't need massive amounts of new content, it needs re-polished. And Incursion is doing exactly that, for the most part.
First of all, Incursion brings many, many changes. The feature page is massive, and well-worth a full read before you criticize CCP: http://incursion.eveonline.com/en/incursion/features
Now, this game is long, long overdue to a fix to all of the 'little things' that have had much needed work on for a long time. And Incursion is just that! An expansion of hundreds of small changes, rather than a couple massive ones. And I think that's perfect really, this game couldn't handle anything insane huge data wise right now. CCP is doing the right thing by making this expansion the way it is, I am very happy with their sensible thinking here.
A great example here is the meta level showing on items, or MWD and Afterburners now having different display pictures. And many other 'little' things that have always been a nuisance in the game. Although the Sansha Incursion is added 'new' content, it too was a tweak the game has needed for some time: More challenging PVE and better PVE rewards. It also adds an element of competitive PVE to the game, considering that only the best fleet gets the item/isk/lp rewards when the battle is over. If you have actually been thoroughly reading everything new in Incursion, you would see this is actually a great expansion. They are fixing hundreds of much needed problems in the game and adding some bonus content to boot.
I for one am not complaining. And I give props to CCP for a well-thought out expansion.
Thank you CCP for the hard work. Please ignore the complainers and continue to work exactly the way you have been.

ps: moaning about the place where you can buy noctis bpo's? its the same place where you buy all mining barges, and there isnt a shortage on those either. dont see the problem. either wait till prices drop, pay premium, or go get bpo's and have a great evening with the thrill of being shot and loosing a billion. i like it

Every other industrial in game (Badger, Iterons, ...) are cruiser-class vessels, so I'd place a high probability that the Noctis, being an ORE industrial, will be cruiser-class, too. The stated CPU and power grid numbers (on the fitting screen http://cdn1.eveonline.com/community/devblog/2010/noctis.jpg ) seem to be in the proper ranges for cruisers, too.

This is the first release of three of the expansion.
We are deploying the work we have done since summer in 3 releases; the 1st one on 30 Nov, the 2nd one on 14 Dec and the 3rd installment in mid to late Jan. The deployment of Incursion is going to span over approximately a month and a half. Like all good fireworks it's going to start off with a teaser, contain a surprise and end with a big bang:
The 1st release contains a collection of player requests we have been working on alongside the main expansion features and that we could easily extract from the expansion code base.
The 2nd release is the Christmas surprise; one part is the removal of learning skills. The other part of the Christmas surprise is still a surprise...
The 3rd release are then the headline features of the expansion, including but not limited to the new Character Creation, the Incursion feature, and a big iteration on Planetary Interaction and EVE Gate.

Edited by: Sevarian on 27/11/2010 15:58:24 So everyone make sure you have very very long skill in training. Like every expansion the DT is going to be +- 8 hours, also CCP it would be best if you don't put up like: "The deployment process will begin at 11:00 UTC and is expected to be completed at 14:00 UTC" we all know that the DT is going to be extra 6hours longer. I have faith that first time in 7 years the DT will be as planed, but fact is other. I would say add into this thing extra 6hours for fixing server side issues. Example: "The deployment process will begin at 11:00 UTC and is expected to be completed at 20:00 UTC"
Regards.

I disagree. With the "fish-eye" distortion that gets very noticable with ultra-wide screen resolutions, I actually find space to be uglier at said resolutions. and very immersion-breaking when planets look more like an egg or football than an actual spherical object.

I just checked myself, and the patch notes are incorrect for Conflagration. Conflagration still has a tracking penalty, although it's a smaller penalty than before - now it's 0.7x as opposed to the old 0.5x penalty. Damage increase is correct, however. All other T2 changes appear to match the patch notes as well, although I only referenced Medium charges - I didn't check all 3 charge sizes of everything.

The EVE client is now resizable in Windowed mode, allowing the players to stretch their client over several monitors. Now EVE Online is much more beautiful in ultra-widescreen resolutions. There is a new version of Windowed Mode called Fixed Window. It is similar to the regular Windowed Mode but lacks any title bars, frames or borders. A new option, ôHorizontal offsetö has been added to the settings menu. It allows the player to have all menus on one monitor and focus on his ship in another monitor.

Edited by: Kazini Jax on 27/11/2010 16:51:55 In regards to fish-eye effect..
The difference is these are resolution changes. In the past, if you stretched Eve across, say, 3 monitors, you would get planet distortion. But these, being resolution changes, should mean that you will get to set it to a resolution equal to your monitor setup. In other words, I have 3 22" monitors. The natural resolution for a 22" monitor is 1680x1050. This change should mean you can expand your Eve client to a resolution of 5040x1050, the width of 3 22" monitors. Kazini Jax |
