Just some scenarios I wonder if the game developers have thought of as they try and get us to happily work together:
a) t1 fit RR BS joins public fleet, goes gcc once people start repping him, gcc propagates across the entire chain, module scoop ensues
b) Lofty scam pt 2: guy with wardec joins public fleet, gets RR'd making those who RR'd him a valid target for his friends who have the wardec, they come in and the rest is history...

Well, a could be mitigated - automatically cease repping someone who went gcc with a popup box than can be disabled.

Nope, no game mechanics to save the stupid thank you.
Don't trust someone to not go GCC? Don't rep them. That's your solution.

Which probably means don't do the incursion sites with people you don't know well.
Don't get me wrong - I won't be fleeting with anyone I don't know, and I am fortunate enough to be in a corporation with enough pilots to do these in corp. But it seems CCP is pushing for everyone to happily work together, and I wonder if they've thought it through.

It's a MMO.. with the 2nd 'M' for Multiplayer. So, yeah.. CCP thought this through If you want Solo-PvE, run 0815 missions till they come out of your ears New Eden needs a Public Feature/Idea/Bug-Tracker |

I really doubt we'll see many pick-up groups doing incursions. What will happen is incursion corps will form, just like wormhole corps did. It will be yet another feature ignored, save by specialist corps.

Working as intended my ass. "Sandbox game" means not being restricted to a specific playstyle. When most options are out of question due to zero effort griefing, it isn't much of a sandbox.
When someone you're assisting goes GCC, all assisting modules should stop cycling with "proceed with this dangerous act" prompt (same as if you try to assist someone who's already GCC, modules won't activate until you confirm). I don't even know why it would work otherwise.
Incursions are already risky enough without this kind of crap. Design oversights should be fixed, not declared "emergent gameplay features".

I don't want solo pve here - I actually might like the ability to run missions with some pubbies from time to time, but with the current mechanics... that would be suicide. |

I don't see how having entire corps dedicated to a feature equates with that feature being ignored. Also, you're underestimating the number of people who dabble with WH exploration even if they're not in a WH focused corp.
If something is lucrative and/or entertaining, it's natural to expect corporations to form around that activity. Specialization works.
