Scenario,
Hold a normal lottery with say 8000 tickets at 10m per ticket. The 1 Winner would get a choice of ANY of the 4 race titans PLUS the skill book for that races titan.
Most people might not have the skills for titan and might take up to 60 days or more to train. So in this case the pilot would train the skills and then claim his/her prize when they have finished training.
If the pilot was not interested in the ship but wanted ISK, then the "Prize Voucher" (Ship Choice + Skill Book) can be put on a FIRE-SALE auction and lotto winner would get ISK while FIRE-SALE buyer would have a choice of Titan + Skill Book (the ship would be held until the skills where trained and pilot wanted to clam his/her prize).
The Goal is to make pilots that think they can't fly a titan be able to fly one, as well as selling out the lottery faster, as you have a choice of 4 races instead of just 1 race at a time!
Would you buy a ticket for this? Reply to Thread with YES or NO
Your opinions are always welcome.
Thanks, Loney

Only if all 4 Titans and skillbooks were secured by a third party like Chribba. Even if winner only got one titan and skillbook, there would need to be proof that the titans exist and are actually up for grabs. If the lotto would run in a way that would be whoever won, got to choose, then that titan goes into build, then I would say the vast majority of players would pass on the lotto. -----------------------------------

No point in doing that. How would you enforce the limit with all the alts out there?
Besides, if someone want to pay 80 billion ISK to buy a titan and its skill book, why shouldn't they be allowed to do so.
I wouldn't buy a ticket, but that is because I don't buy into any lotteries. For those who are into lotteries, their is likely some interest.

To me, it is not an issue of trusting my ISK with someone. It is more of an issue that CSAAs to build titans have a whole set of rules and 'issues' that have to be addressed. If I buy a ticket, and get really lucky and win. Is my titan ready to go right then, or do I select it and wait for the build? Waiting for a build when it could be aborted is more of a concern. -----------------------------------

It's also about name recognition. You being trustworthy doesn't mean ****, if the people who you try to sell your tickets to aren't familiar with your reputation or feel it isn't good enough. If you settle for lesser amount of sold tickets or are selling to mainly alliances you have had dealings wtih before, than you don't need to secure it with a more widely recognised name.

It's probably easier to just pick a races titan and throw in the frig/cruiser/battleship skill books for it.

I would ONLY buy a ticket if I don't have to be online at the time of the draw. I absolutely HATE when they say "Oh you have to be online at the time of the draw or you don't win, even if your name is drawn." That's SO LAME I HATE IT SO MUCH!
But then again, I wouldn't want a Titan. Titans are only useful for those involved in null sec big alliance stuff. Maybe I would want a faction BS instead. Or a RARE faction bs, like the State Raven.
Question: Could I sell the Titan BACK to the person who's running the auction, for the market price of the ship?

I would buy a ticket,
I think your original idea of a titan choice is good, for those that want instant gratification of there chosen titan asap, might i sugest that cyberdyne team up with the chribba overlord, seen as he is probably the only player in game that has a titan of every race in his garage.
i will take my comission when chribba posts to confirm he loves the idea

I speak to chribba often and he is currently very busy ingame/RL and though he would love to be a part it something like this he does not have the time to dedicate to something of this magnitude. I have 4 titans sitting around DD'ing each other but my concern would be if the pilot wanted to use the 60day hold option to training the skills. I usual only keep titans on-hand for a few days before I hand them off to a buyer, so keeping them longer would disrupt production. .
