Well I'm kinda new but with my first toon I started manufacturing. So what I'm wondering is, what kind of income would be ok for a highly skilled manufacturer. I have skilled for some T2 ships and modules and Im making about 100m/day manufacturing using 10 lines. I know that I could get this rate up a bit by not buying all the materials on the market but I'm not interested in all that work to be honest. At the moment Im puttig about 1 hour a day max in setting up my slots + invetning for them. And I'm happy with that.
So while I figure out what my next step would take me, is 10m/line/day an ok starting point? |

If your making 100 mil a day for less than an hour of work average, all's good. |

Hell, 100mil/day from manufacturing is a pretty good income.
I make somewhere in the region of 750/week from all 9 (lol) of my slots, after pos costs and everything from my T2 production. |

Just came back to the game after a break, and have around ~800 mil in capital. Figured I'd pick up manufacturing but am kind of unsure what market to focus on with my amount of capital.
Any tips on markets I might want to look at? |

Hey, looking for advice. The OP seems to be doing exactly what i want to be doing. I have a trial alt, who id like to make a full character, but I cant afford to support two accounts, so she would have to be able to pay for her own subscription (PLEX), and then ideally send whatever is left over to this main to pay for my pvp habits.
So how would i get to the stage of being able to earn that kind of ISK through manufacturing ( I know nothing about this end of the game apart from mining, the alt is as close to flying a hulk as you can get on 21 day trial skill wise) Any help/ advice would be much appreciated thanks |

Ok, I did not excpect this. I'll start feeling good about myself then :P...
Aurai: I've sent a mail to u.
Rainbow Moose: Depends on your skills but for something not that skillintensive I've only got one thing to say. Have a look at the upcoming overhaul! The opportunity wont be there forever though.
And now I feel dirty... dammit
Also when I learned manufacturing I did a lot of research. When I found profitable markets I just had a look at the skills needed to make that product. Simple as that.

100m a day from 1 char is excellent. 1hr a day is a bit laborious tho, you might wanna look at getting the time you need to spend down some. Generally this can be done when you get greater capital. Buy and sell in bulk and set up mass jobs each week/month.
Ideally you'll want to train an alt up so that you can manufacture on 2 characters and be able to have some downtime if needed, without you losing any profit. |

isn't producing one month in advance kind of risky? with the way mineral and tech prices are shaking, i'd be careful not to overcommit....

When I started manufacturing items and such, I wasn't as much concerned with profit because at that point any profit was good profit -- which looking back is so absurdly low ha! -- but more so with keeping those lines that I had active as much as possible. |

if you happy with your income, why does it matter if that makes us also happy?
10 mil/day/line is infact decent, but something tells me that its not an avg. value that we are looking at, especially if you just buy the matierals im afraid your margin stands on a shaky ground, just now when the market is very chaotic due the Tech-Changes. Not saying you do anything wrong, but be aware that your 100 mil profit today, can be -100 mil tomorrow.

200m a day doing about 15 min of work.
Producing things that sell, things that sell at good margins, things that don't have heavy competition, and being able to push competition out, and having a good understanding of your market. Also, controlling the flow of materials through buy orders; wich means always having buy orders and always having the best price on buy orders, and then being able to identify when someone is attempting to inflate buy costs. |
