Warning on carebear griefer CocaColaMiner.
His method of operation is to join a corp beg people to go mining with him and then once in fleet with the player in question will PK their ship.
It's a weak carebear griefer tactic but effective.
We had been warned about his plans by his previous corp. Due to the delay in being able to boot someone from your corp (which I think is amazingly stupid) he managed to carebear grief 1 of our members.
It's sad how this is the extent of C&P today.

It wouldn't be the extent of C&P if you refrained from posting TBH. ~_~

How is C&P going to become active again if people don't post the exploits of those who have done crimes? I mean it's not a great crime but hey at least it's something.

The crime was that they had been told what he does and that they should have sent out a corp mail about him, the punishment was that one unlucky person got popped You guys make squeeky noises when you pop, and that's enough motivation as far as I'm concerned. |

I have to agree with you completely.
I had to post it as it's so simplistic in design and you can't argue with the results as small as they are it was effective.

What you think PK started with Runescape? PK goes back as far as I can remember when I started playing MMO's back with UO. It even looks like Eve took from that with the Red names meaning pirate.
How I miss the days of UO before the split into Feluca and Trammel.

UO was indeed the **** back in the day. Ganking people in the graveyard and stealing their stuff. And unlike in eve everything dropped, every single time ---

Actually PK was in existence way before diablo sir. First time I've encountered it was when playing MUDs back in the day. And I'm sure someone will show up eventually and say they've seen it even earlier. ---

PK originated with role-playing games like D&D back in the early 80's.. I remember using it as early as '87.

I have no idea what PK means for you guys. But in my native language when someone talks about a PK he means Poes Klap. Which still makes sense in a funny way when you read the op :)

The part I find funny is you were told this is what he does and yet you still accepted his application.
That or you just auto accept every application and do the background check afterwards.
Either way, sounds like you got what you deserved. --Vel

A small quoted line. "We had been warned about his plans by his previous corp. Due to the delay in being able to boot someone from your corp (which I think is amazingly stupid) he managed to carebear grief 1 of our members."
No where in the OP's post is listed they were warned BEFORE the griefer joined. All he states is that AFTER finding that out, he wanted him booted asap, and the 24 hour stasis period prevented that.
You jumped to a conclusion simply because you read it half wittedly, or glanced at it at best. So I say again - learn to read, think before you post.

The irony is strong in you. Had you bothered to read the second line of my response, you would see I already mocked them for not checking on the guy before they hired him, if that was the case.
My response stands - they either were warned ahead of time and hired him anyway OR they didn't do a proper background check on him before they accepted his application.
In either case, the stupid lies with them. --Vel

Like there really needs to be a warning for someone named "CocaColaMiner".
The name alone suggests a 95% probability the person is a dip**** or a wet noodle at best. -------------------------------------------------- |

I know, not what the OP started, but can not resist lol
Concerning PK and the History
PK (Player Kill) started with "Mazewar" in 1974 created by MIT Students and ran on ARPAnet, before what we call the "Internet".
The term MMORPG was coined by Richard Garriott, the creator of Ultima Online, in 1997
Sheesh, some of you are so.... young...
