Wondering if anybody has done a fit for a ship to dank/destroy the bs's rats in a c5 or c6, c320 or c540 ladar site solo?

I can solo it with 2 chars, both running scorps, and i think with some effort this could be done solo

You can solo anything if you have enough people along. Oh wait, that's not what that means.

In a C6 Pulsar wormhole, at least, a well fitted Tengu can tank and destroy numerous Sleeper battleships. I don't know about other system types, though.

Its not that you can't do it solo. It requires expensive setup that have a tendency to end up on killmails. Certain active tanks augmented by WH effects should do them fine. Normally run em with 2 ships at least. Me in Scorpion + other ship have run ladar with 2 Sleeper BS + a few other sleepers

Couple options:
Solo 1)In a pulsar, nightmare or a buffer Tengu. 2)A really really really expensive active tank tengu
2 Chars 1)Scorpion/Whatever else you want 2)2 generic group op tengus

seriously? You guys realize he is talking about the vitals/instrumentals right?
basic active tank tengu or faction active tank legion will solo it fine
drake can do it, but its slow also, a rokh w/ cap charges can do it
Vital doesn't point you, so its not there is any chance of you dying. instrumental DOES web/point but its less dps and no RR frigs.

Edited by: Merkur Avar on 02/10/2010 05:21:47 I stopped running these sites a year ago or so but back then I did them in a proteus with regular T2 reppers. If you go dual rep with medium reppers you reach about 850dps omnitank which is enough. 800 might be a bit low.
Orbit one Battleship at around 3km to reduce its DPS and just pummel it. At least one of these sites NOSes you a little so be more than just cap stable.
It takes about 10 minutes or so to kill both of them with roughly 500 DPS so you can imagine how long it takes with a Drake, since they rep.
Best ship to do it with might be a Legion or Tengu as my corpmate already said.

I have a seriously high end proteus. As the above poster mentions 800 DPS tank is what u get with nanobot injectoe subsystem and dual reppers, as long as theyre good reppers :P
I solo class 3 every day of the week but i don't think a proteus could tank a class 4-5 or 6 however that being said Ive never tried so....

the best ship for PVE within wormhole space is the Tengu, you should find with a tank of 90% ish all around, 2 tengu with large RR will be enough to take down the c540 c320 spawns. 3x Tengu are enough to run c5 anomaly and do capital escalations.

Its ladar not combat site. Was fine with a solo T2 Drake last year but more like an experience to repress DPS wise rather then recommend. Those T3 have smaller sig so good active tank do fine as AHARM guys mentioned. The close orbit thing is also true from combat sites. Its a question of if Corp pilots use those kind of setups ( we don't ) & consider the particular wormhole effect.

all those people are clueless and obviously they ve never done it
those sites are indeed very difficult each with 2 bs
i soloed them in my legion with maxed out skills with dual a-type med reppers while boosted by perfect damnation pilot, and even then i had to orbit properly to stay on the safe side. maybe you could achieve that with tengu, however never seen or tried that.
