With optional patch 2 downloaded, still very high CPU utilization and freezing of game for some seconds for "open training que" and working with it.

However since Tyrannis 1.1 EVE refuses to remeber container positions/sized. For hauling I have GSCs in my Ship which now are near impossible to manage, as they refuse to stay snapped together and with minimal size. CCP has changed the base code which runs the UI. Since the UI has been running on the same code "FOR YEARS" (sorry had to stab at ya), it's made it difficult to improve on the UI because that base code is extremely dated and has been built on over the years.
This has made the ui very cumbersome not just for end users, but also as a development platform for CCP to correct and expand on. They needed to break the UI in order to fix it. I just wish they'd put out a blog to the public saying these things and assuring the public that the input in a thread like this is extremely helpful to them and that they need us to bear with them just a bit more as they catch up with some of the code.
Imagine if you decided to keep adding additions on to your house. You build up, out to the sides but you never update your foundation. Your house would eventually become top heavy and look like something out of a Dr. Seuss book. Now, since they decided to fix the foundation, many of the walls don't align properly with the floors above so CCP needs to also start re-building the first floor. I hope this gives ya an idea of all the dung CCP is going through to eventually get us a new UI someday in the future.
That said, I'm sure it's frustrating, but keep coming back to this thread. They are reading it as many of the issues we had were fixed with today's patch.

I am Unable to re-download the client. I have tried all methods on the eve website, and have tried repairing the downloads with the repairer, which has subsequently told me that EVE was succeffully repaired, but I can not log in.
I am running windows 7, it is fully patched. Previous install was uninstalled using the Eve tool. I uninstalled because I thought corrupt files might be causing the game to crash so often.

- Dragging and dropping an item does not play the 'drop' sfx.
- Chat window font in the typing area is squished horzontally, making it very difficult to read.
- When the UI experiences its random epileptic fits after using the scanner/system map sometimes windows are thrown clear off the screen and cannot be reached except by ctl+tab. Ctl+tab causes the lost windows to re-enter the screen. (Haven't seen this yet since second optional patch, but I haven't been scanning.)
- Sometimes the buttons on the 'selected item' window play the error sfx for no reason.
- Show-info windows do not remember position, but rather locate themselves so that the protrait is centered on-screen.

So it removed the 1st one and now I can't for the life of me find where I can get the 2nd one... It doesn't seem to be available through the Patches section on the website, since it's an inter-client download. Is there some variable in an ini somewhere I can tell my client to ask for the new patch again??
[EDIT] OK I found it in General Settings. I didn't see it because I had to login first. Can't access that settings page from the title screen.
It installed only one patch and did not say which one it was... I hope I have the second one now :P

Alrighty. so optional patch #2 is successful so far. +) The station container problem i was having is fixed. Yay I can get my tags out. It was apparently an icon issue as my federation navy f.o.f. identifier tag now has a ? for a logo. nice lol. And my LP store seems to be fixed. don't know whether that was in the patch or not at the patch link always takes me to the 1.1 patch page. amazing.

Station containers will not remember positions and will reposition to wreck window size, Select item will flip flop with overview upon undocking, even if it's pinned

In addition to the before-mentioned problem of the assets list going blank (when there was an item that was 'expanded') sometimes after docking, sometimes after loading cargo in a station, I also got the "doubled overview entries" with the patch fix #2.

The skill that I was training when I logged off last night completed; however, the next skill in the queue did not begin training. Character Sheet was highlighted upon login today, and it indicated on mouseover that I wasn't training anything. I had nearly an entire day of skills in the queue, so there is no conceivable reason that I'm aware of for this to have taken place.
I'd estimate that I lost about 7 or 8 hours of skill training time due to this. I'm not sure if this is patch-related or not, but I have never had a problem like this before.
Also opened a ticket in-game for this issue.

When doing Caldari Navy Lvl 4 missions, standing increases are NOT gained by all members of the fleet - ONLY the person originating the mission gets a standing increase upon mission completion. Cash rewards and loyalty points seem to be divided correctly. Not sure about other factions.
Also: Up until these last 2 patches, I have run 3 clients on my PC without a problem. I can now no longer even run one (1) client without the CPU hitting 100%. It seems to become worse when grid reloads with a new spawn or a gang landing on a gate. Almost unplayable at times.... LAG.

That's not "lag" which is typically defined as network latency, rather that's a ****ing poor job on the part of CCP either in coding or setting the proper expectation for its users and the EVE client's hardware requirements.

I am currently running a $5,000 Dell gaming rig with 2 NVidia cards in SLI. I have never had a frame rate on any game drop below 60 fps at 1920x1200 with all settings maxed. Now there are times where I am getting less than 10 fps. This all in the past few days with the patches.

In 1.0 you could r-click a wallet division, select "transfer to" type the amount and press enter. Easy, not annoying.
In 1.1 you r-click a wallet division, select "transfer to", find the amount field with your mouse and click it and then type some **** and then press enter to execute the transaction. More annoying.
Your UI is already annoying enough - why do you annoy us more?

Another fun one - talking to an agent in space sometimes pops up a blank window. You have to logout then log back in and try again until it works. FUN.

Just installed the third patch and no change.
'Show info' still resets the info window to the middle of the screen in a tiny window and does not save the size and position.
"Can I get another patch to fix the patch that was supposed to have fixed the patch which fixed the other patch?"
Getting ridiculous isn't it?

People and Places window has a huge minimum size. It really takes up too much real estate even though it's one of the most useful tools in the UI.
If the folders in the "people" part are causing this minimum size, can the bookmarks please be made undockable?

Had 3 hard crashes within 15 minutes since this patch. Great quality as usual. Also the UI can burn in hell as far as I'm concerned, at least you're not making it better. --

Can't accept contracts, I click 'Accept' then click 'yes' to the message and nothing happens (yes I have enough money and I am in the same region) tried with 2 different clients on this computer and another client on a different computer. anyone else getting this?

Ok. i can say that both my clients seem stable (two running on one computer).
The only issue im still having is with private chat windows.
Pre 1.1 i used to have my corp window unpinned (rest were pinned), which made it possible to have new chat windows stack with the corp/alliance chats.
There was always an issue with this in the sense that pinning corp chat always prevented private chat windows from stacking with it...
Now, if you could resolve this issue and allow new private chat windows to stack with the unpinned or even pinned corp/alliance windows it would be much appreciated.

The 1.1 Patch introduced something that I liked a lot, most probably a bug though.
When on the road I play on a netbook with a 1024x600 resolution. This works great everywhere except the station services, the corp hangar button falls off screen.
The patch made it possible to resize the station services to 600 pixels by minimizing and restoring the window.
Unfortunately hotfix number 2 "repaired" this.
Please give me my bug back! It made corporate life a lot easier whilst on the road. ----------------------- I love the smell of napalm in the morning. |

There was a saying that the patch today fixes all bugs from Tyrannis 1.1.
This is not true.
There is still the issue with the orders-list and the hangar view in list mode, which are not updated "at once" as it were. This is true for long list only (I have it never seen on the first page of my orders). But with 200+ it's getting very annoying.
To see waht I mean you have to:
View your corp hangar. Set to list-mode and sort by name. Put 100 different items in. Scoll to the bottom . Move the last item to your cargo hold.
See the item leave the corp hangar. Then see the items being reloaded.
This also happens with the order-view. And is more blatant there.
The real problem is not the reload, but the point that it invalidates the actual selection - if you move something out of a hangar it does not concern you. But when I update my orders I do so by alphabet - and it often happens that I right click on the spot where my next item should be - but then a list update occures - so I actually click an other item, that is moved down the list.
This is very annoying.
For me it seems as when someone forgot to put an "beginupdate" "endupdate" block around the refresh-code of the listviews.

EDIT i can now no longer log into eve, the authentication bar never finishes
