I'm in the far NW burbs up near the Wisco border, by Great America. I run a corp called Initrode and we have several players that are all in the same area. 6 of us even work together.
Anybody here know of any EVE gatherings that go on in our area?

Live in hyde park now, but my folks live in the city.
They pod one of your mates, you drop their POS. They bring a thorax you bring a domi. Its the chicago way.
Any gatherings happening soon i'd be game to get a north-midwesterner's EvE symposium on the ball. And I brew beer, so everyone could get a Space Brew, the Pilgrim Pilsner goes down smooth.

Lombard, well actually just moved here, and my school's network wont let me connect to the server :( so i may have to cancel my subscription because, well i cant play at home, just in local free wifi spots. lol, what luck i have
btw i might start hanging around the westmont public library. they have free wifi and i can connect to eve there \o/

I just started playing EVE online. I just replaced my old gaming laptop that would not play EVE. I am in madison wisconsin and am looking for others in the area who can give me some advice on geting started. I am handicapped so will probably be playing my usual 60+ hours a week over the winter. I preger games that include mining, crafting, and building things. i gave up on WOW 2 years ago because the crafting system was pointless and have been searching for a game to pour all my spare time into. i am looking for a corp to join that needs a crafter / engineer / ship repair person. eventualy i'll want a ship for doing fleet maintenance in the field. I can travel to chicago on vangelder bus from UW Madison to for meetings or can host small lan parties here. I would allso like to build a HDTV program based in the eve universe.
