What the hell!!! Nooooo!!!!
Whats going to happen with all us long time players that invested time in training base learning skills to 5 and advanced to 4's or 5's? I appreciate that its given us an advantage on all those players who didnt have the foresight to train them in the first place but those skills contribute towards my skillpoint total that i've worked on since nov '07. That numbers supposed to grow, not get cut by 1.6mil because they decided to go in a different direction
If they do i suspect CCP will lose ALOT of customers.
in-fact i think they was talking about you keeping your attributes you earned and giving you all the SP you spent in the lerning skills to spend on other things so you don't lose anything

Wrong. EULA is a contract which we all have accepted and "signed". I know what you are trying to say, but you can't take CCP to court on this. They will just show to the EULA which you have accepted and that will be that no matter what local country law might say.

So if the EULA states that CCP is allowed to use the pc's of customers in botnets to send spam around the world this overrides all local laws?
The answer of course, is NO!
Sigh. That is no a service being provided by CCP and none would pay for such a service if it existed, so your argument is null and void.

I have to say I don't disagree with this. It basically sets everyone's learning skills to 5 and hands everyone tons of SP that trained them. I could skill up an entire racial tier of ships with that.
The downside would be the skillramping you'd see happen for newer players. Seeing a "newbie alt" in system might actually be as dangerous on its own as wondering if it's gonna pop a cyno. ------------------------------------ I like long walks, a good book before bed, and human entrails served cold with a side order of scrap metal. |

They would prolly do that yeah, still, saying that EULA nullifies local laws is just plain wrong.
It's never the downtime itself that ****es me off btw, it's the fact that they seem completely incapable of predicting how long the downtime will take, if you have to extend your deadline again and again during the day, you're not doing it right.
Best to overshoot with your guess and have happy faces when it turns out to be shorter than the constant dissapointment when I find out it has been extended yet again... Inappropriate signature removed. Zymurgist |

- The backend of the EVE User Interface has been refactored to allow for faster development and ease of programming. Because of this some UI settings, such as stacked windows, may not be preserved after the patching process.
- Cluster memory usage for the Planetary Interaction feature has been on the increase since the launch of Tyrannis earlier this year. A number of optimizations have been included to ensure the featureÆs memory footprint remains a dainty flutter for years to come and for the betterment of TranquilityÆs health. Planetary Interaction gameplay remains unchanged.
Only in EVE are the "features" server-side and developer-centric changes that only have the potential to negatively impact customers' user-experience upon patch deployment.
I can't even begin to imagine what bugs and behaviors these back-end UI changes have introduced to the typical user experience. CCP testers have discovered that windows may become unstacked... what else will we find?

No, the contract would not be invalid but the action there in would be in violation of the law. And in such you would also be a murdere even if it was not you who killed your ex.

does that mean that I will still be obliged to pay for hitman service if he ll put me to court asking for his money as we agreed in contract

Well thats not such a bad thing really. Remembering back to when i was a new player in a big bad world where some guy 3 years older would just come along and wipe out my poorly fit little frigate..... seems a boost might get these first timers to stick around. Plus side of that? more targets making the same silly mistakes. Great for the killboard stats Spasmodic ****er |

love those bittersweet tears here, it's even better than the last hulkageddon. and, surprise, surprise: "we want skillpoints, free ships, money back, excuses as compensation, 'cause who could have thought, the patch wasn't in place and working in time..." hope you guys think about last and next 50 downtimes, when ccp makes it in 20-50 mins instead of an hour.
