...or, some suggestions what to do right now.
Bsically, i lost my little fine shiney Tengu. Out of my damn stupidity. It gets better - i lost in ... PVE. WC4, Sansha Base, shooting triggers ang gaining room aggro with 6 scramblers/webbers and all the BSes in optimal range, while falling asleep was a f bad idea.
I am really really mad at myself and think i need a break from Eve - and i have not decided yet what to do with "my stuff". Should i just sell everything and make some noobs happy with ISK? Or just fire up BS V and forget about the game for a while and come back in a month?
Dont ask for my stuff, even if im going to give it away, it would be NOT here, but somewhere in a noob system.
PS: Yes i know, my english is bad. And i am very sorry for it.

Ah, I've been there. I've done some pretty stupid things and gotten mad at myself and lost all will to play the game in the past. Your best bet is to do the last thing you suggested. Fire up a long training skill (BS V is a good one) and go play something else for a month. Just make sure you force yourself to check Evemon once in a while so you don't forget to queue up a new skill. I did that and probably lost a good 2 weeks worth of training the last time I took a break.

Don't let your sub lapse though, remember no ghost training!
On the subject of donating to noobs, I've thought of this, but the problem is knowing who's a genuine noob, and who's just an alt.

Well, first: You flew what you couldn't afford to lose. Next time be smarter and don't rely on something that you can't live without.
If you had a goal, start again. Losing a ship (or a hundred) is not really something I'd quit the game over.
But other than that I think EVE has more to offer than running level 4 missions (which is more likely to be the reason why you want to quit).

Well to be honest what I would do is clean up all the stuff I have scattered to heck and back in diferent stations before I take a break.
Nothing worse than comeing back after a month or so and then spending a week trying to figure out where everything is

You have two options:
1- Take a break 2- Get right back on it, save up more cash and build a better tengu! :)
To be fair wc4 sansha side is about the hardest mission for any shield tanker, particularity a smaller one that needs speed as well.
I'm just confused as to why do missions in a tengu however, you'll never match the dps of a faction fit BS with the same tank let alone a marauder.

Because you don't need "the same tank", and thus can put more into the DPS. Moreover, it uses cruiser-sized weapons, so your (percentage of) applicable DPS is higher than the same kind of setup would give you with larger weapons.
It's a classic case of the numbers not showing the reality, both in terms of tank and damage output. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

thats the best options imo.

This. Add time to your account now to bring you up to november (next expansion) so that you can keep training. This was only a ship loss and you'll want to come back (you know you will) so just go play something else till then and enjoy yourself doing whatever you do, but keep the training going or, when you come back, you'll be way more annoyed and for longer about the lost skill training time than you will about the lost Tengu. .

Thanks guys. Ill take a break and keep my accounts subbed. By the way, i could easily afford a second (and a third^^) tengu, but the whole "HOW I CAN BE SO FN DUMB"-thing just drives me insane.
Well then, seeya all in a month or something.
PS: Any idea what to play/how to kill spare time? I recently got MHFU, but not sure if its enough for a month. And WoW is not a game i would ever play again

I have to disagree..I own both a proteus and a kronos. The t3 is maxed out in skills..and I have marauder lvl 4.Guns for both maxed. The kronos does the missions way faster and I dont need to move.
I dont know where people are coming up with this.I found no ship at all that does better than my kronos. And I can salvage which I dont bother with.In some cases ill loot a bit.In any case t3 shouldnt be in the harder lvl 4 missions.Maybe the easier ones..ok.But not in wc.
Kronos is fit t2 items only btw..nothing special.

Let's stop right there.
The reason you disagree is because the Proteus is unmitigated junk for PvE. This is not the case for the Tengu. The Tengu outright slaughters L4 missions.

I've done WC4 angel/sansha so many times over the years...it's a snooze since I started using an ultra-tanked Tengu + Loki (tengu gets aggro and kills all the cruiser/hac, loki kills all the frig/dessies, then they both eat bs's).
Funny enough, last night, I was taking Tengu + brand new Machariel through this, and just started heading towards the last sansha near the gate in that exact pocket, not even thinking about it...and got full aggro and all those scram frigs on me to where even the x-type shield booster couldn't keep up anymore.
Had a panic moment and had to use the Mach's drones on the frigs while burning out to 20km+ so the Mach could hit them properly, and had to unlock all the cruisers to get the frigs locked with the Tengu, and also wait the 10 seconds to load scourge precision (because i forgot to bring thunder precisions)...haven't had that kind of 'pvp-induced' panic in pve in couple years haha.
Made it out with only losing 52% of the Tengu's armor. Luckily the shield booster can pump out 700 shield per cycle, but normally the Tengu only has about 50% EM resist hehe.
TL;DR = stuff happens. Take a few days or whatever off, keep training, and then get back into it and be more careful next time. I know I will ;)

Just because I'm an instigator, I'd point out that there was a fair size thread on tengu vs cnr (or was it domi) a month or two back. Liang soundly defeated the opposition with his/(her?) personal experience using multiple mission ships and concluded that for the mission runner that knows what he/she is doing, the cnr was the better choice for the majority of the missions, with the tengu coming in close second on a few others. With ship-switching (cnr for cnr favored and tengu for tengu favored missions) a straight cnr pilot would presumably come out ahead of anyone else.

Edited by: HeIIfire11 on 27/09/2010 23:45:59 Yeah..Im willing to bet alot of isk my kronos does better too.It face ****s all missions.Three damage mods..and two tracking computers and its a beast in missions. It can tank full room aggro in almost any mission. And snaps frigs unless they get closer than 15km.They drop faster than I can target them in missions where there are a lot of frigs.the missile flight time alone would annoy me.
No way the tengu is beating that thing.I have missile skills too, used to fly a drake and a raven. No where near as good in my opinion. You need very good gun skills though.

Losing a tengu to Sleepers isn't even that bad. I once lost a Loki by being bored out of my mind after looking for a target for hours in lowsec. Was tired and didn't pay attention to anything. Saw a hauler and jumped after him in order to kill him, locked and fired and only then realized i was shooting him in highsec
