Could someone give me a rough skill plan for a somewhat decent Drake for ratting in 0.0? Thanks

Mods needed to use a drake for ratting:
T2 shield mods:active hardeners/passive hardeners/shield power relay/shield extenders, T2 heavy missiles, T2 Ballistic Controls, shield rigs and then T2 light drones of the variety to deal optimal dps against the local rats. Fill in support skills to help drones and missiles.
Was that too hard? it ain't like it would take you more than 2 minutes to look for the skills you need on your own. And since I have no trained for a drake in forever, I do not remember any of the skill names, but you can figure it out I hope.

Essentially from scratch. I have basic medium missile skills and basic shield tanking skills.
Thanks for the replies. So basically train for T2 tanking modules first, then T2 missiles? Oh, and heavies or HAMs...

Edited by: Tandin on 15/09/2010 01:54:41 Simple.. train heavy missile spec, all of the missile and shield support skills, and then finish it off with training for a Tengu instead. There, that'll keep you busy for a while and it'll give you a much much MUCH better 0.0 ratting ship.
Heavies.. ALWAYS heavies first.. HAM's are a nice compliment after. Rats are usually scattered out of range of HAMs if you start doing anomalies or plexes.

Problem with the Tengu is I have, um, limited resources ;)
Thanks for the reply about HAMs though

Noone mentioned but its crucial:
You wont fit much on it without pretty much maxed "weapon upgrades" and "shield upgrades" skill...
Former gives -5%/lec cpu for weapon & bcu fitting, and later gives -5% grid for shield extenders / level
Plus 5% bonus to shield res per BC skill level is huuuge on drake. Prolly the toughest ship ull find floating around before you hop in one of those billion isk hulls.
