Hey.. I can't find it anywhere and i was wondering how do you add the multipliers for drones optimal range? For example Garde I with drone sharpshooting lvl 4 + 2x Omnidirectional links + drone scope chip. 20 (km) x 1.2 x 1.2 x 1.2 x 1.15? is it just that simple? I doubt it :P

Just use EVE Fitting Tool and right-click Show Drone Info on them in the drone bay panel.
Otherwise you need to consider stacking penalty. I think the formula is:
S(n) = 0.5^[((n-1) / 2.22292081) ^2]
20,000 * (1 + 4 * 0.05) * (1 + 0.2 * S(1)) * (1 + 0.2 * S(2)) * (1 + 0.15 * S(3))
Just looking at EFT is a lot easier!

I would not use scope chips... 2x omni and 2x sentry dmg is way better. Guarde II's go to about 50km. ------- "Because the Dominix is the Chuck Norris of Eve!" |

A dominix with 5x Federation Navy Omnidirectional Tracking Links and 3x Drone Scope Chip IIs gives Garde IIs an optimal range of 57.75km with a 12km falloff.
A dominix with 2x Federation Navy Omnidirectional Tracking Links and 2x Drone Scope Chip IIs gives Garde IIs an optimal range of 53.73km with a 12km falloff.
I don't doubt you can hit at 65km, but in my experience, a pilot is almost always better off using Garde under 40km and almost always better off using Curator/Bouncer/Warden past 45km.

ED: On a more constructive note, hitting at 65KM and doing reasonable damage at 65KM are separate things.

This... I always run guardes and switch them out over about 45k, then use rat spec for the longer ranges. Drones scopes are pretty worthless when you can have 2x dmg augs. ------- "Because the Dominix is the Chuck Norris of Eve!" |
