How do you handle 4-5 alternating cruisers and BS's sensor dampening at a time in a room chalk full of them? Only thing Ive managed is to loose the large rails, and tank 10 minutes or so of full aggro (auto on entry) while I chase down single ships with blasters fit to hammer at 10km which is about what they dampen me down to.
Im flying a Megathron with large rails or blasters t2 med and light drones and not accomplishing anything.

Get better drone skills.
Guns just aren't that good against serps IMO, they damp too much (at least in some of the better missions like blockade and the assault). I fly missile boats mainly, and I don't even bother trying to use regular missiles in Serp blockade, just load up the FoFs cause I'm lucky to have a 20km lock range at any given time.
And that, in a nutshell, is my sig.

Make sure that you handle the triggers appropriately, so you don't spawn too many ships at once. You can find info on the triggers at eve survival and other websites.
Decent drone skills will help, set them to aggro and let them go to work while you're dampened.
Blasters do help. Get in close to the cruisers as quick as and take them out, as they do most of the dampening.

I run that mission on a somewhat regular basis and I make sure I have my drones set to aggressive and have a targeting range booster equipped. That way I can target sooner and get my drones on the dampners faster. Oh, and I also have a drone link augmentor equipped so my drones will go further out to start their attacks. After that I simply keep retargeting and wait for them to come into range and get even with them.

Sansha version is a pain as well, just replace sensor dampening with tracking disruption.
The Bloodraider Blockade is much more fun and goes much quicker. Only thing is you need to take out the neuting cruisers before they get too close to you but there is nothing preventing you to pop them at range. <3 BR Blockade as a lazor boat pilot. |

Oh how I used to love and hate getting this mission, yes serp missions that damp you are really a pain, if you have the time and patience do what I did, traind socila and Amarr BS up and start doing missiond for ministry of war, lots of good kill missions, very good LP shop and you only get 1 any-faction mission, also I recommend traning for a Raven, its good to have a ship thats good againts guristas and angel

+1
FoF cruise missiles. Signal amps in the low slots. Drones.

Well, in my CNR I just warp to 100 km, orbit the gate at 105 km, and snipe & kite while using an AB at 295 m/s. Put drones on anything within drone range. Pretty much the same as any mission I do. Nice part is not having to worry about triggers.
Probably will work the same with rails.

So what do you do when your targeting range has been damped down to 10km?
I run it in a Golem - it has a targeting range of 150km with one signal amplifier - even then I am often damped down to below 20km. I usually switch to FoF cruises, while they won't target anything beyond the targeting range they don't have to wait to get a lock before they switch targets, so give a higher DPS than normal cruise missiles when you are being damped.

I'm immune to ECM jamming or sensor dampening in empire NPC missions since I have two ships in mission at any time. So one option is to make friends with another mission runner and share the burden of being damped. You could resort to remote sensor boosting :)

Angel one is a brief orgy of glorious destruction, Sansha one... not so much. Tried the Gurista one once & vowed never to go near it again, I'd imagine the serps one isn't any more fun. Maybe an Ishtar?

OK Ive fairly well solved it.
I replaced a kinetic resist rig with ionic field projector put a sig amplifier in lows a serp sensor booster and a t2 sensor booster in mids.
I'm now plucking away at 50 km with 3-4 dampeners on me but found it most effective to drop the 425's for 350mm's, the light missiles (2) for heavies, t2 hammerheads and a 100mn core a ab to hold range @ 25-30km for antimatter.
Switch from hammers to hobs for any frigs that get under guns but this mission even though full agro is auto you start with range and can instapop them
I know t2 sentries are the stuff but that last drone interfacing is gonna have to wait.

I sit there in a Drake and spew FoF missiles while AFK with the entire room aggro'd onto me.
In your ship, you need to make sure you have high drone skills. Let them loose and set them on agressive and focus fire.

I don't usually get damped, as they don't usually begin their attack with a damp cycle, and they are out of range for an attack (locked - blinking yellow). Only frigates get within 50 km. I can reach 123 km.
Even when I do get damped or jammed, I just wait for it to end then continue firing. It has never been a perma-damp.

I use 2 sensor boosters with range script, that way I can still apply damage one time out of two. If I'm lucky I won't get jammed more than 2 time, high dps helping.

To combat the sensor dampers in Serp Blockade, I used to use a single sensor booster which gave just enough range to lock the target and then send the drones to attack. Now, I use blasters with a webifer and after burner to get into range. Once you take down 1 or 2 of the damping cruisers, it's much easier.

I used 4 heavy drones and 5 small ones in a Megathron most of the time. Given reasonably high skills the heavies deal way more damage on anything down to cruisers. Also I do believe most of the dampening cruisers got into targeting range eventually and when you keep moving they can't orbit well enough to outrun your tracking.

Ishtar (armor tanked with AB).
1. Fit correct hardeners (of course) 2. Fly into mission, kill the web tower 3. Orbit the Mechant stargate at 15km 4. Set drones to aggressive (if necessary) 5. Go AFK 6. Return later to a fully cleared The Blockade.
I always afk it through.
It works for every faction, although angels have a nasty habit of switching targets after a while, so there i usually stay around to micromanage the ones that go for the drones.

1. Get a Vargur/Machariel 2. Get a minmatar lvl4 agent 3. Get The Blockade (Angel Cartel) 4. Pull all triggers as they spawn 5. Laugh your way through the mission sitting still watching the rats hurry towards their death
Just be careful in AE bonus room, I messed up aggro there and for the first time in my PVE career had to do some distance gathering to manage incoming dps.
(I should have shot the sentries before anything else but thought they wouldn't be a problem.. pro-tip: shoot sentry towers first) __________________________________________________

Ummm yea.
Like other ppl saying, just use a sensor booster or w/e.
but I don't have a problem when I use tengu, I just kill the elite cruisers before anything else..
They have to die sometime, might as well be first..

Surely, if you have a two man gang then you would get the mobs to target your tank and use your (undamped) dps to kill them.
