In case anyone reading this isn't aware of how to get out of the "frozen" situation without holding the power switch to force it to reboot (e.g. to get back to the desktop), hold Option + Command then press Esc. It should force EVE to quit, or it will display the Force Quit dialog choice box.

EVE crashes/won't respond approximately 1 in 3 times that I quit using the "Quit Game" button. About another third of the time I receive some kind of "buffer overrun" error or EVE closes 45+ seconds after I press the button. I'm running a new Macbook, dual core, OS 10.6.5.
