alright. thats my fit. I have run the maze twice solo tank succesfully. but this time I got instapopped
what happened: I warped to the last room. had my EM hardeners overloaded (211K EHP vs EM) 93.7% resist. the moment I got out of warp, my ship popped. this is my loss mail.
as you can see I took 15308 damage from the stronghold. that amout is exacly my shield, armor and hull together. must have been a torpedo.
things I see are not possible:
1. I got hit by the torp the moment I exited warp. must have been waiting for me at the warp in point. becuase the stronghold is 50KM away and the only thing it does is shoot EM torps and webs.
2. I got instapopped. with a sig radius of 160m and a resist of 93.7% I should not have taken so much damage. considering the damage I took was my shield armor and hull together the damage must have been more then that.
3. I looked in my documents eve folder and found the log. and this is what happened from the moment I stopped warp:

as you can see the log started at 14:12:00. I was waiting at the gate then for the rest of the fleet. first thing that happened after warp is at 14:26:14 aswell as the last thing. all happened the moment I exited warp.
can someone here with math skills tell me that it's possible or not? becuase I have tanked it before and when webbed down to 1 m/s I still did not take more then 327 damage (on my armor obviously).
a summary of my peoteus's stats: 89.3% EM 85.4% thermal 96.5% kinetic 10% explosive 126340 EHP vs EM 940 defence 274421 EHP VS guristas (damage profile 14% thermal 86% kinetic) with 2001 defence. 211774 EHP vs EM (overloaded both EM hardeners) with 1602 defence
if more info is needed. please ask, I will give you any info you need to solve this.

On top of that it also gets a turretlike weapon dealing EM, Explosive and kinetic damage something like 9000 damage total. The plex is however sort of special, I can't quite recall how it works it might be random it might be velocity only or the missile itself might be random BUT it instapops ships at times. If you look under missions and complexes you'll find a rather old thread about a guy who lost his golem to the very same torpedo. Parrots, commence!

so. it's bugged.
hope I get reimbursed. but I have realy low hope.
yes. 180 K. but the torps explosion radius is 2000 m vs my 160 m signature radius. together with my 93.7 EM resist, it should be doing vey little.

This really tells you a large portion of what you need to know:
The fact that it's labelled as "strikes perfectly" and "wrecking" tells us that it's a turret weapon. The fact that it's a wrecking hit tells us that it delivers 3+ its normal damage. The fact that it's a turret explains why you got hit instantly, and why your sig radius did nothing.
So its base volley damage is something along the lines of 5000 adjusted HP ù the question is what resists this goes against and how much that equates to in raw damageà If it has a large explosive component, it wouldn't take much to blow straight through your tank. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

does anybody have numbers on what damage type the projectile does?
gonna ask my corp m8 later what his kin, thermal, explosive resist is to get an idea
if this is the case I know exacly what to do. remove 1 EM or the thermal hardener and put an explosive on.
anyone got an idea if the stronghold only does this once in the whole fight or shoots multiple times throughout the fight.
if it's only once I can warp in together with an expandable frigate and hope he gets the hit. should happen in I let him warp in like 1 second before I initiate warp.

Guristas Fleet Stronghold according to eveinfo.
Plugging your fit into eft and creating a damage profile based on the damage above (2250 em, 2250 kin, 4500 expl,) you have an overloaded EHP of just 28,607.

thanks alot. I know what to do now. when I am back on my PC I will figure out a new fit. I see it shoots once every 20000 seconds (5.55555 hours). but my m8 also got shot, I am guessing it supposed to do it every time it targets a new target.
4500 damage at 10% resist but it was a perfect hit and a wrecking shot. 1 hardener should fix that.

I like the Maze. I like that it is a bit of a pain to run. 10/10s should be challenging.
I used to run it pretty regularly using a couple armor Ishtars and an Oneiros or Guardian.
Thanks for showing me a new way to engage this complex.

I think I got a fit now, just need a little more info.
Does anybody know the exaclt damage profile for guristas? I have been told alot of things, and also read alot of things about it. I got it at 86%/14% kin/thermal now, but do they deal less thermal or more? maybe it's more specific to what encounter. what do you guys think will be shot most in maze last room? and/or what rats shoot thermal most? as I need to drop a hardener, and the thermal one seems to be the best call. but my tank will go down alot. if I know what rats shoot most thermal we can take those out first.

If you drop the thermal hardener for an explosive hardener, your effective weighted average resists against the stronghold's gun are: * shields: 46.3% (can absorb 5,580 of the 27,000 wrecking shot) * armor: 82.6% (can absorb 56,100 damage or the entire wrecking shot.)
Assuming no shields, that leaves you with 48% armor or 4,690 points.
Assuming you're webbed down to zero, the EM missile does 180,000 * (160 ship sig / 1,000 explosion radius) = ~28,800 damage. With an armor resist of 93.7% that becomes ~1,800 damage, which your remaining armor can absorb easily.
If you go with an EANM II, your armor can absorb 27,400 damage of the wrecking shot, leaving you with 150 armor, which isn't enough to soak the EM missile.

I removed the guns. these are replaced with 3x energy vamp. will target 1 frigate and drain him and we are keeping it alive till the end.
this allowed me to remove the cap rechargers. and put up a little shield resistance (the invul fields and photon fields dont increase my sig radius).
let me show you some numbers on my shield vs the wrecking shot: the wrecking shot will potentially do: 6750 EM / 13500 explosive / 6750 kinetic my shield will have 13136 EHP vs that damage profile.
if I overload the 2 invuls and the photon I get a 30979 EHP, overload is only needed the moment I warp in. then I can turn the mids off.
I will have 212K EHP on my armor for the torp @ overloaded EM hardeners. (will only overload for the first and the second torp. after that I should be fine.
and I will have a 2059 tank vs guristas
in other words. I can get the initial damage from the gun on the fortress absorbed by my shield totaly. this way I dont have to nerf my tank vs the EM and the guristas.
basicly I knew I was able to do it without getting that wrecking shot. I just made myself capable of taking that shot on my shields.

You sure those 20,000s aren't actually ms? so every 20 sec? I know it says 20000s but the database can be silly in that respect

That stat is actually in ms. For some reason the EVE data dump used the server stat of milliseconds while marking the unit as seconds, which is annoying. For instance: if you check the EVE wiki it says 1400mm Arties fire once every 40163s. They're slow, but not that slow.

the guy that tanked it and finishwed it after I popped send me his log files.
the stronghold only shot once in the entire fight.
but either way, then I will have transversal and it wont be able to track me with it's horribkle tracking.also I will be moving out to 70 KM range from stronghold so it does not web me, I'll be outside it's falloff range.
akisawa. put this fit in EFT and try a DCU out. it is just not good enough for anything. best thing I can come up with is the shield buffer.

The value in the database is: 20000000 So it really is 20,000 seconds.
