Entire game freezes and pointer disappears while moving the mouse. Problems appeared since installing Catalyst 10.8.
ATI Radeon HD 4850 with 2 monitors Windows 7 x64
Does everyone here who have this problem run multiple monitors with their ATI cards? Because for me, the problem only appears when both monitors are enabled.
Petition filed under "Technical support / Graphic problem", I suggest you all do the same.
AMD Technical Support should be notified here: http://emailcustomercare.amd.com/
Also AMD Catalyst Crew feedback form should be filled out: http://www.amdsurveys.com/se.ashx?s=5A1E27D27E29B0E3
I too have submitted petitions to both links. No response yet; however, I will report back if I hear something. I also inclouded a link to this thread in the petition

Occasionally EVE would crash to desktop with ATI card when running three clients.
Was deciding on which branch I would go for my new card.. ATI or NVIDIA. These issues made it simple. Went and bought myself an nvidia instead for my upgrade option. ATI has always had a bit less mature drivers.

I'm seeing this happen with ATI Catalyst 10.3, ATI Radeon HD 4670 card, dual monitor setup. Eve client becomes ultra lagged when moved to the secondary monitor since upgrading to Tyrannis 1.05.
I've also noticed my graphics card is running hotter since 1.05. It looks like I'm getting at least 5, sometimes 10 degrees C more heat on the GPU temperature monitor than I would in the past with a given number of eve clients running / resolution. This is irrespective of whether the Eve clients are on the primary or secondary monitor. Maybe this is just a statistical anomaly, but I thought I'd mention this, in case the 1.05 changes are using up considerably more GPU cycles or what have you.

If I run a single screen, it's fine. If I use both screens then the cursor disappears making the game unplayable.
Went back to 10.7 and it's fine.
This. I was having a lot of issues and then i disabled one screen - everything works fine now. ___________ Proof that Daniel Jackson is a ret@rded furry |

Hello, I've created a ticket on AMD's support site and they send me a hotfix for (maybe this issue) http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/ATICatalyst108bHotfix.aspx
I'll try it later. But feel free to run some tests.

hmmm, Went Back and tried a few other games windowed with both Screens turned on, seems quite a few games suffered the same problems as EvE.
Think this might be the 10.8 drivers in general :(

Haven't crashed yet and haven't seen my cursor disappear but with AF16 and super sampling AA16 I get 50-80 FPS most of the time with frequent random (seemingly random) stutters. Will revert to 10.7 and see if that helps.

Same issue. When in dock, if i move my view around, it chops up really bad and mouse is also dissappearing. Noticed issue with 10.8 drivers.
Never had a performance issue before, normally run mulitple accounts at once.

I've had to downgrade to the catalyst 10.1 drivers on my comp with a radeon 3850 AGP card, even though this older version is more stable... i still have a lot of graphical artifacting, glitches and whatnot else going on when running an eve client.

Try disabling effects under graphical settings. It's done the job as a workaround for occasional graphical glitching with remote effects on my Radeon HD 4670.

Same issue here. ATI HD 4870.
It would appear that the people having this problem are mainly HD 4xxx users.
