Edited by: Gonetae on 29/07/2010 16:26:55 Just wondering if anyone can suggest a fit for me. I'm looking for a Tengu that I will be using in wormholes, looking for a good tank, covert cloak and best dps possible using missiles. I won't need to fit any codebreaker, analyzer or probe launcher as my alt will be doing the probing for me.
I have most relevant skills at level 4 and 5.
Any advice welcome as this is my first foray into T3 ships although I have plenty of experience with T2 stuff and WH's previously

Then post a fit you think might work and get feedback. I guarantee there are at least a dozen threads with tons of ideas for tengu fits for wormholes (not on front page does not mean they do not exist ).

That's definitely a fair point but I am really just dipping my toe into all that is T3 and reading up on the various effects of subsystems and the like so at this point I honestly have no idea about fitting out a Tengu and anything I posted would I guarantee be the biggest pile of scrap floating around. :)

Read the description of the subsystems. Fitting a t3 is somewhat more difficult than another ship, but if you aren't a rookie you should have no problem generating a decent template. Laziness won't get you anything but trolls.

For fitting a tech 3 just read the description of each subsystem. You'll know if it's good for your fit or not. For example, you don't need warfare links on a solo wormhole Tengu, so don't fit the warfare processor. Do that for all 5 classes of subsystem. Most are straightforward, although there are a few weird ones (like power core multiplier actually gives you less powergrid that another subsystem I think). Once you have that, if you find you need more slots, the engineering and electronic subsystems are usually pretty interchangeable, but give you different slot layouts.
It's a little more complicated than fitting other ships, but just takes a little more time. Of course if you want a fit already made, there are plenty in this forum, or on battleclinic.

Cheers folks, wasn't meaning to come across as lazy but I guess a bit more research on my part would be for the best. Thanks again

Edited by: Direstorm on 29/07/2010 22:23:46 Power core multiplier may give you less -base- PG than another subsystem, just like the cap subsystems may give you less -base- cap than other subsystems.
Once you factor in the bonus, though, it can be dramatically more. On the Legion in my hangar, for instance, the 1125 PG grid subsystem gives me a total after skills of about 1800 PG, compared to 1200/1400 for the other one I was using.
(Example numbers, it's somewhere in that range but I'm too lazy to look up exact numbers)

TBH There are basically 3ish Tengu subsytem fits that are used 1st being the 6 High 6 Mid 4 Low for Pure Tank/Gank and no probe launchers.
Next is the 5 Ham 1 probe Version of the above and last is the cover interdiction fitting besides that there isnt much good out there. As creative as peeps love to be usually the best fit`s keep emerging.

This is the Sub layout for PVPers who know what they are doing, for PVE all you do is swapp propulsion to Fuel Catalyst for 50% AB speed and you are set. Dont try to reinvent the wheel this fit in PVE format is 600 DPS@113km and tanks like a monster while doing 600 m/s and usually never letting bs`s touch it.
