So, I was hanging out on Ventrilo with my buddies, when suddenly my world was forever changed.
Suddenly, this video was mentioned.
Seriously, oh my god. Zack Snyder just mashed together just about everything awesome in the world. ----- Andreus Ixiris CEO, Mixed Metaphor

It is a sad state of Hollywood, when they produce yet another generic love-war-psychotic-martial-arts-mafia-samurai-space-WWI-scifi-dance-dragon-chick-flick.
Why won't they ever mix things up a little?

This movies script could be total trash and I'd still watch this.
There are movies that entertain and there are movies that engage you. I usually much prefer the latter, however if you go all out a pure special effects movie can be rather badass.

Apparently it is set in the head of a girl who is about to get lobotomized in the 1950s? Well, i guess that has potential.

A giant samurai with a minigun? What could go wrong!?
It's the kind of movie that could be awful or great entertainment. I'm going to bet on the latter and will definately watch it.

Unfortunately, everything Zack does now is judged on 300 - that film was too good to follow...
OT: I think the trailer looks very good, but we appear to be at the stage now with CGI composites where they *always* get the lighting wrong, and real characters have the tell-tale signs of high-gloss studio lighting and bloom them out against the super sharpe CGI digitals. Star Trek exterior composities were filmed outside, which is why the 'space jump' scene looked very realistic.
This does not - and I expect more from Zack & co.

Yeah CGI has a too glossy look. I really like the old fashioned model and lighting in Star Trek The Motion Picture and Star Trek II.
