http://www.eveonline.com/news/newsFromEve.asp?newsID=3967
Boom, I told you so. Before this article even came out I was telling people about how jovian space would be accessible only through wormhole space and that I was tasked with the exploration and eventual expansion into jove space.
Maybe in the future people will stop and think before they just default to calling me a dumb troll.
Behold a massive jovian fleet! The Marcabian 5th invasion fleet will finally re connect with its mother fleet and silence all opposition.

You are a dumb troll.
Have you ever heard of a staged event and epic dev powers? And if you read about it carefully an exploration probe was sent through and no ships went through. Also if you have been to any of the sansha invasion events you cannot jump through the wormholes cause they aren't real ones.
so yeah

Thats fiction, its old news (26/06/2010), and has nothing to do with you.
Previous statements stand obviously.

I do think that you are missing the point. My argument some time ago was that jove space was accessible or would be through wormholes. Everybody laughed at me.
Now I have proof. Thats the thread in a nutshell. If you don't want to be excited with me and speculate stuff then whatever.
edit: month late? I just noticed this article like 5 mins ago. I did not see it on the main page before but I could be wrong. I just figured I would make some noise about it because I had been chastised for such outlandish ideas in the past. "My name is legion, for we are many" |

You have proof that a dev can in fact spawn a wormhole that goes to Jove space. If that was somehow a surprise to you, then I don't think there's any hope for you.

OP's image has been discussed to death already; fleet size estimates were already calculated. Old news, unless you found a "static" wormhole between Jovian space and W-space... which isn't quite likely.

Im going to spell this out for you.
The wormhole in question was spawned by a developer, it does not occur in-game under normal circumstances. It is part of the Sansha's nation live events. Under normal circumstances you STILL cannot get to jove space via wormhole. This was a one-time deal.
Can i make that any clearer?

I understand now, however given the fact that this even although dev created was and still is considered canon; then we can safely assume that jove space is on the other side of a wormhole. Maybe not now or a month from now but at some time that is where it will be.

There are rumors of access to jove space this march. So far they are just rumors. But if it does happen im not sure if Wormholes will be the access point or they will just add stargates.

You are a moron. This was a LIVE EVENT! CCP was doing as part of a story! This was not CCP cheating in any way.
Also its THEIR game, they can do whatever the hell they want to because IT BELONGS TO THEM!

Pretty sure that's TQ. Jove space is, in fact, empty. CCP has said in the past they won't introduce Jovians as a major element in EVE until they run out of ideas.

I doubt it :)
Look at the bottom left of the screen shot. He is in a channel called 'MoveMe'.
That channel only exists in SiSi, and its used to get you moved to the test 'system' on the server. Currently if you enter this channel and type something, then after some time you will get 'moved' to the test system (FX-xxx whatever it is).
Apparently, that while back CCP put an automated script on that channel, and if you typed in a system name, it would move you automatically to that system... however, it got abused (obviously) as people typed in Jova space names... :)

It's Sisi, they released a moveme bot to move you to any system or station. They disabled Jove systems but forgot to remove the stations, so obviously people were moving to Polaris via the stations. Some moron posted how to do it on the test server feedback thread rather than reporting it discreetly and it got a little too popular. Being a pet project rather than official CCP work, the bot was disabled as the updates and pressure were too much effort for what was a bit of free-time coding. Some of us got into Jove space back not long after the game was released using clones and indeed it was boring. Nothing to do there, nothing to buy there and not any Jovian structures to even look at.

You're right, it is Singularlity. I didn't notice the MoveMe channel. However, Jove space is empty. Most of the stations there are just the 0.0 generic station model, and the devs have said that the belts there don't even spawn any rats. I doubt there's even exploration sites in Jove space.
