After watching the farce that Ferrari just exposed to us, do you think the result will stick?

I'd be very surprised if the FIA actually grows a set of balls and disqualifies them.
Ferrari have competed in F1 since its inception. They're the only team to have done so. They basically rule the roost politically in the sport.
In reality, at the least they should disqualify the drivers and team from the race standings.
Personally, I'd disqualify the drivers from the race, and the constructor from the whole championship.

I really feel for Felipe Massa, exactly a year after his horrific freak accident and he's treated like this.
I hope they do disallow the result, but I won't hold my breath.

Terrible end to the race and the worst part is the cover up by Ferrari. Really unfair to Massa who ran a great race and for this all to happen exactly one year on from his accident... bad form Ferrari. --------- Charlie Video Producer |

does F1 have strict rules?
i know here in the US our NASCAR is really strict about things like the engines, their HP, their displacement. car design, etc. no one team can really have more tech related to the drive train than another.

Edited by: ATheGreat on 25/07/2010 15:15:17 Just completely disgraceful, and 100% illegal in terms of the rules...
If they had done it in the pit stops, would of been better, but to pretty much force a driver to slow down and let his team mate pass, when he has done all the work, and has lead a creat race from the first corner, is just wrong..
However despite these obvious breach of the rules, I doubt ferrair will get punished, even if they do it would be nothing more than a slap on the wrist..
Shame on Ferrari and Shame on the FIA (Ferrari, International, Assistance)

I'm Brazilian and Massa just lost the respect I (and many others) had for him.
I don't care about Alonso tricks and Ferrari dirty games... Massa was just weak.

ú100,000 fine for Ferrari - maximum allowed. Should have reversed the pole and given it to Massa imo. ---

Didn't Schumacher pull something like this a while back? After which he switched positions with the guy he screwed over on the podium for damage control?
Eh, it's not a sport when everyone is working with different equipment anyway.

Does that count the same with football and football boots?
Poor by ferrari, but not the first time it's happened, not the last either I expect.
