Does this bother anyone else? If you make a request and it is acknowledged for action, your request is "accepted." If your request is acted upon favorably, it is considered "granted."

But the docking acceptance notification is one of the few bits of Aura we have left! Since CCP don't seem to be adding new Aura stuff anymore they'll just remove it and we won't even hear a docking notification!

You can say "Docking Request Received" (as in, we confirm we received your request) and "Docking Request Accepted" too (for actually accepting to grant the request).
"Docking request granted" sounds even more odd to me anyway. More like "docking rights granted" or "docking permission granted", maybe.
Meh, if you are a bit lenient it can go both ways.

Or it'll be stuff like this that they DO fix, while leaving important stuff unfixed.

Hah, one thing I didn't consider was the possibility of a difference based upon dialect. When I visited the Old Country, I always laughed when I saw a "Way Out" sign where I was expecting an "Exit" sign! Like, that is sooo WAY OUT mon.
Maybe English-English with an Icelandic twist is even scarier .

I dont see the problem here. Perhaps my IQ is not low enough or I do not have the skill "Complete Git" or "Smeg Head"
If someone requests something you can 'accept' the request. Something does not necessarily have to be considered 'granted'. Lets say someone offers you an apology. Do you say apology granted? Or accepted?
In this case you are requesting to dock, the station 'accepts' your request to dock.
If you request a gift from someone, they can 'accept' your request and give you said gift. They are 'granting' you a gift or 'granting your request' but this is no different than the fact that the request was 'accepted'. In fact accept is a synonym of grant therefore they are one and the same.
tl;dr This post is a waste of space and completely idiotic.

This.
CCP will likely devote 20+ devs to fixing this by increasing 0.0 lag.

you must be a huge carebear for not knowing that. This is clearly a signature. |
