Alright, my goal is to import mineral price data into my excel sheet from Eve-central, have it update every day, have it filter out all the mineral prices EXCEPT data from Jita 4-4 station specifically, have it grab the lowest 5 sell orders, average them out taking into account their quantities as well, and insert that data with a timestamp and make an automatic graph that shows Jitas prices for minerals over time. Got that?
So far, I can import the data from Eve-central that I want, but I can't find a way to make it automatically filter out all the data from stations that aren't Jita 4-4, and to pull the lowest 5 sell orders from that list.
When the prices reset, so does my filter. Also, when it is filtered, I can't make another sheet pull data from the correct cells because, when filtered, the cells keep their original co-ordinates.
I'm sick of so many programs using the entire Forge region data when calculating mineral prices, and my entire corp relies on mineral price estimates from Jita 4-4 specifically. I've been updating prices weekly for about 6 months now but it's getting tedious and inconsistent updates plague us.
ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated. Heck, if I can get this working I may even offer a reward to the biggest helper.

Read that, the quicklook query. You can't, and likely don't need to limit to specific station, enough to limit to the system. And it can already limit the results to the top five. -- Thanks CCP for cu |

Not sure how that works honestly, besides are you sure you can limit to certain SYSTEMS? I thought you could only limit to certain REGIONS?
And of course there's still the filtering problems etc;

If you expect people to help you it would be advisable to at least READ the information they were so kind to link you to even though you could have easily found them yourself in the first place. Think about it. --

I DID find it myself originally, and I DID re-read it after he linked it. You can restrict data to regions but not systems.

RE-READ it again! Specifically the quicklook part, where the parameter 'usesystem' is described.

Finally, I see it now. I looked over that entire page like twice looking specifically for any mention of "systems" and still didn't catch it.
Thanks a ton, I now got the data I want coming in correctly.
Now, any ideas on how I could auto-log some of this data?

You should be able to throw the whole grabing data stuff (some code conversions need to be done, of course) into a VBScript file and run that as a Scheduled Task.
But make sure not to hammer the site. Like they stated: pull data max. once an hour or so. -- EVEWalletAware - an offline wallet manager |

Any chance there's something like this for eve-metrics too? I'm basically facing the same problem, and I cannot seem to find a solution. Getting my data from the forge, but would much prefer to pull it solely from jita.

I'm using this
=CONCATENATE("http://www.eve-metrics.com/api/item.xml?type_ids=",E1,"&system_ids=300000142")
E1 being the numbers of the items I want to query, so say:
=CONCATENATE("http://www.eve-metrics.com/api/item.xml?type_ids=",34,"&system_ids=300000142")
to get the trit results. Problem is that if I try that I get the basic one and nothing else.
Once that would work I'd use /evemetrics/type/system/buy/maximum to pull it out (but haven't got a clue wether it'll work considering I can't test it without a working query :p if this doesn't work out I'll have a look at how to share the spreadsheet (only been working with them since last night)

Thanks for the mail Onyth.
What are you doing the query with, IQY or XML import, since you wrote Excel ?

XML import, I'll try to catch you online though, guess that'll be easier xD
