my beam abaddon with moderate skills (all 4s or so) cleared the Darkana wave before the next respawn, and well the nightmare lolvaporizes (mostly lv5 skills, 4/4 on bs) them. and well the EA chain is the one place where I say get a marauder or don't do it. coming back to loot+salvage is such a pita.
*edit* I suppose I should mention my abaddon was fit with 2x invluns 3x te and 4x hs and had a basilisk remote repping. wanted to keep the one chars standing neutral.
Originally by: Alice Katsuko Amarr have quite a good PvE lineup. Unfortunately, their damage profile makes Amarr ships rather ineffective in higher-level missions against NPCs with high EM resistances, especially Guristas, Serpentis, and Angels. To run level 3 and level 4 missions effectively, you'll have to move to Amarr space and run missions for Amarr agents.
That said, here's a list of good Amarr PvE ships.
Level 1 - Punisher/Coercer Level 2 - Omen/Maller/Harbinger Level 3 - Harbinger Level 4 - Apocalypse/Abaddon
Note that the Omen provides greater dps, while the Maller provides a better tank. Note also that the Harbinger is superior to the Prophecy in most situations. Some folk suggest the Arbitrator, but as a drone boat it requires good drone skills.
The Apocalypse has a bonus to laser turret capacitor use, and is relatively cheap. With good capacitor skills, however, the Abaddon can be significantly more powerful in PvE due to its armor and damage bonuses. It also has a generous powergrid and CPU, and can be quite easy to fit even without Advanced Weapon Upgrades.
you want the drone skills anyways, take the arbitrator! the omen is my top pick among the other cruisers though, requires some manual piloting to lower transv, but with an ab + cap booster fit it can kill the hell out of lv2s. (I like beams, with ab cap injector, heat sinks, resists and a small rep, yep small rep, don't really need anything bigger and it opens up a bunch of fitting)
