remap is available to purchase from the web site for around five dollar, no limitation as long as you pay, i dont think they are allowed to do this without acknowledgement from CCP?
so does this mean CCP is going to implement similar things here? judging from recent free xp allocation.

Can you clarify "remap" |

Does EVE China charge a subscription fee? I know that in many asian countries the "culture" of PC ownership is very different (in that most people don't own one at all, and play MMOs at net cafes) and that this makes the western MMO model of paying a monthly subscription unsuitable. Many Asian games have to find other methods of generating income - such as by selling exp, skills or items. Selling remaps could fall squarely into that category. What I'm getting at is that the asian MMO market is very different from that in the West, and just because they do this over there, doesn't necessarily mean we'll see it over here too.

EVE China is run by a different company that has entirely different marketing strategies, independent from what CCP does with Tranquility. They're probably going to sell SPs in China, too and the SP gift here was just a test run on its functionality and kept for reimbursement matters. -------- All I want is a better mankind.

I wouldn't speculate too much based on what the Chinese Eve does. There are a lot of differences between the two.

I didn't say that nobody in asia owns a PC - but a much smaller percentage of the population owns them than in the west. 20% of Chinese people use net cafes regularly, 70% of those visit exclusively for playing games. Do I even need to mention South Korea and Japan? According to a BBC article from like three years ago, most of China's 20-odd million WoW players play at net cafes.

truth is, they pay considerable more to play MMO, in some popular games they even have to pay to speak in a chat room which is ridiculous.

Did you use google translate or something?
I dont see it anywhere about buying remaps. However its no different than the patch we got here with an extra free remap.
As you can read here: http://www.eve-online.com.cn/htmlfiles/2010-07/2010070100001639.htm
As far as I can understand with my chinese skills. It basicly says, buy an extra account now if you want 2 remaps on it.
In short. Accounts before patch +1 remap with patch. Accounts after patch, default 1 remap. --------------------------------------

I can confirm that most people in Asian countries do not have a computer at home, MMO's usually work by going down to the computer shop and buying a game card for a dollar or 2 that will give you x amount of hrs play time. People then go to their favourite internet cafe to play the games in their free time. I live in S.E Asia atm and have travelled around quite a bit, exceptions to this would be Singapore and S. Korea
