Interesting....
Quote:Over the past several months the price of the moon mineral Technetium has risen sharply, bringing some pre-existing game design issues into sharper relief. The value of these moons combined with the fact that they exist completely in one distinct region of the game has caused wealth transfers that are simply too large for the effort and risk involved. So we are going to kick Technetium in the balls. |

I'm of the belief that alliances with a lack of technetium (read: Soco) don't value their space as much and thus won't fight to defend it, instead opting as they have to wait until the invading force leaves (which often happens, but not particularly likely to here). Goodfights are had by none and the game just isn't as much fun. I think nerfing tech would reincentivize sov holding and homeland defense for these alliances.

oh, c'mon. it's naive and stupid to think that the tech holding alliances didn't know this were coming and have a plan for when it does happen.
pretty sure goons sponsoring permageddon is some thing to do with it, i'd wager good isk on it. not to mention look at how many moons the cfc are going to aquire with there conquest of delve etc. Reading my posts is like panning for gold; most it will be useless, but occasionally you'll find a nugget of gold. |

Well, to be fair, with jump mechanics working as they currently do they are more likely worried about huge numbers of reinforcements being portaled in. To carve a successful niche for yourself in EVE you need to be able to out sell, out produce, out fight,-á out run, or out wit your competitors. If you can do none of the above, your only option is to complain on the forums that somehow you are at a disadvantage using the exact same tool set-áas the rest of the player base. |

They could have matched us in numbers equally. They chose not to. That's not our fault. Stop blaming us because our enemies are cowards even when the fights would have been even. You asked me once, what was in Room 101. I told you that you knew the answer already. Everyone knows it. The thing that is in Room 101 is the worst thing in the world. |
