Send me an EVE-amil, I have a surplus beta key

Saw this come up on here a while back and signed up for the beta. Got into said beta a few weeks ago, installed client, played for 30 odd minutes, promptly uninstalled client.
The graphics are woeful, the controls truly suck and the UI is only now a partial EVE rip-off.
It's making me feel a bit nauseous thinking about it.

This game is clearly heavily borrowing from Eve. They don't go into much detail about the economy on their website.
Are you supposed to play as one of the robots?
The feedback here looks pretty harsh. Anyone want to post a more detailed review?

The real mystery is why anyone would copy EVE's UI
According to at least one perpetuum dev, it's the most logical way to build a UI

The background fluff as I understand it so far:
Humanity was searching for resources, and found a wormhole in space [hmmm]. They could not travel through this wormhole safely in human form, and so they sent probes through. Through this they found a race of robots [srsly] on a planet rich of resources. Being humans, we wanted those resources and screw anyone who gets in our way so we devised a virus which [tl;dr version:] allowed us to upload digital versions of ourselves [agents] into the robots and control them [through a wormhole...].
The enemies [rats] you fight in the game are remnants of the original uncontrolled robots. There are three different faction, or race of robots. Thelodica [lasers], Pelestial [missiles], Nuimqol [hybrids, though they're called electromagnetic weapons].
Now some more info:
You level up much the same as in EVE, the only major difference being in Perpetuum, you gain 1 EP (Extension Points I believe) per minute, whether logged in or not. You do not set a skill, you simply purchase them when you have enough EP to. There are no learning "Extensions" as of yet, which means this 1 ep/min is a fixed rate for everyone with an active account.
There are currently six islands; Three alpha (One for each faction) and three beta (same deal). The Alpha would be considered hisec, and the beta nullsec. There are police towers around the teleporters (gates) and outposts (stations) from what I saw, but everywhere else is a free fire zone in the Beta islands.
As of a recent patch, there IS insurance, though it only lasts a mere five days, so its more for people who are taking a gander at the beta islands; definitely not a long term crutch or it will easily cost more than your Mech/Robot after 2/3 periods of insurance.
The economy as it is right now is still operating in Beta mode. There are NPC orders for most things in order to get people easy money to test things and allow for enough supply to get the cheaper mechs/bots out there to players. The economy will be very similar to EVE once it has launched.
I'll try and get my friend who is doing the industrial side of things to comment on that when I get a hold of him; it's not my area of expertise.
My Opinion: The game has a lot of promise. Sure it's copying one of the worst UI's in gaming history, but it's not a carbon copy and for people who actually take the time to investigate its features, it's much more intuitive than eve for it's little changes. Plus it's still in closed beta after all.
The graphics leave something to be desired, but considering it's beta (once again) eve was no beauty pageant in Beta either.
Regarding being invited into the beta: Occasionally the devs tell us to send them ingame mails containing the email friends have signed up with so they can fast-track them (A sort of pseudo invite system). I don't think they're doing it right now, but i'll ask one when he's online and let you know.
And thats all I have to say about it. _____________________________________ Haruhiist since December 2008

I have one beta account I'm not using so if anyone else is interested send me an EVE mail and I'll respond as soon as possible.
Btw game is EVE ripoff but still it's ok - just don't forget it's beta. MMO market would look much better if there were more EVE and less WoW clones tbh.
