We put a pos in reinforce. They dropped from alliance. We arranged for a second dec to go in from an alliance, but the game will not allow the dec to go in.
We get the message "You can not declare war against them. It might be that they have just disbanded or if it is a corporation, that they have just joined another alliance."
They haven't joined anything, we have a spy in there and they just dropped to incur the cooldown timer on the war. How long is this warning I am getting that we cannot dec them going to last?
Isn't this a bit gimped? I thought one of the methods of catching a corp that tried to drop alliance to save pos was to put a second dec in with an alliance. Now it does not appear to be working.
Anyone have experience with this posting would be really appreciated.

1) If a corp leaves an alliance that is war dec'd ... the war follows them for 24 hours ...
2) They cannot join a new alliance UNTIL those wars are over ...

I think this is a KNOWN bug .. it should correct itself IMMEDIATELY after downtime .. try decing then.

Well they adjusted their stront timer so that they could take advantage of it. Its set so that my dec after downtime will NOT get it done in time. They will still have two hours to repair and restront, or to pull down.

I'm considering filing a petition for it but I don't even think it will be seen in time.

Wasn't it deemed an exploit to drop from the alliance for the sole purpose of saving a POS? If so, stick the petition under exploit and it'll get seen to quickly.

Wait until there is 1 hour left on the cooldown timer, then drop from your Alliance. It gives you another 24 hours.

How long after the war ends does it come out of reinforced? If it's not too long, I believe you can extend aggro by shooting/being shot at by pos guns, so you can still shoot the tower after the war is over.

As this man says, you can do this. I've seen it done first-hand. But you need to have your whole fleet shooting at the POS before you run out of wardec aggro, because no-one else will be able to join in after that.
