My Minmatar Cruiser skill was at level 5. Currently Minmatar Cruiser skill is now at level 4.
 I have only owned one T3 ship (Loki) and sold it.
I have always kept my clone updated above skill point level.
Account has always been active.
Is there any other way to lose skill points?
Yes, I just submitted a petition but would like some feedback.

This is indeed strange.
1) Even if you had lost a Loki in combat, you would lose a level of a subsystem skill, not Minmatar Cruiser.
2) If you had lost SP due to getting podded in an out of date clone, you would have only lost a percentage of that skill, you appear to have exactly 640,000 SP in that skill, which is if you had just finished Level 4?
3) Obviously you have trained Minmatar Cruiser 5 in the past, because you do have Minmatar Strategic Cruiser trained to level 1.

This has happened before not to long ago. I was missing Large projectile weapons V but CCP fixed it in a patch. Might be playing up again. hope you get it fixed.

Not necessarily. For example:
You have 20M SP, and the skill with the most SP is cruiser 5. You get podded with a Grade Alpha clone. You then loose 5% of the difference between 20M and 900k (I think it's 900k for the Alpha clone, doesn't really matter though) which is 952500 SP. This gets taken from the skill with the most SP. You can only loose 1 level of the skill maximum, so you'd loose all of level 5 and nothing else, leaving you as if you'd never started training level 5.

2. Looking at evemon (currenty at work) I have excactly 640,000 skill points in Minmatar Cruiser.

So is it possible I messed up and misselected a lower grade clone? I was always very careful, but that does not help my situation. Any suggestions on how to reply to the petition when it comes?
What if I had not noticed the missing skill points? or not have a pdf file to attach to my petition?
