My setup is this: Hi: 6x Mega Pulse II (Gamma, radio) 2x Seige
Med: 4x cap rechargers II (Swap one with a target painter if need be)
Lo: 1x Large Armor Repairer II 1x Medium Armor Repairer II 3x Hardeners 2x Damage mod
Good for tanking.. good for dealing damage.. all around a good ship. Cap wont "Run 24/7" but it runs long enough to get the job done. Doesn't put out as much damage as a 'Geddon, but it tanks a bit better. If a smaller ship happens to come along, all I can say is TP his ass and cross your fingers, this is basically a "hunting battleships with a group" setup, made to do the best damage/repair that any hybrid (Tank/gank) can do. Also, for real PvP ganking pleasure, switch the 2 seige to a large energy neutralizer II and a heavy NOS. With no cap they can't do ****.

Raven Killer:
High Slots: 5 x tech 2 mega pulse 2 x named heavy nos 1 x large named smart bomb
Med Slots: 1 x Warp jammer (20k one or better) 2 x tech 2 cap recharger 1 x named heavy cap injector
Lows: 2 x tech 2/named armour reps thermal/kinetic/explosive hardner 1 x tech 2 cpu 1 x tech 2 rcu
Fill your cargo with cap boosters. Use the tactical overlay and use the smart bomb when the torps get within 5k of you. If done correct you will barely have to use the armour reps. I took on 2 ravens and got one of them into structure (he warped out) and killed the other. It took a while but they did very little damage to me. The heavy nos kept everything running

With the up coming missile change, I think it wouldn't be such a good idea to have 2 siege launchers or even cruise launchers on apoc anymore. I'm currently thinking about this setup:
5 modulated techyon (main damage dealers) 3 modulated quad light beams (ceptor killers)
1 ab (or webber) 3 cap rechargers 2
2 large repairer 2 3 hardeners (or 2 hardeners 1 heat sink) 2 cap relays
4 heavy and 5 medium drones.
This setup should be able to deal with just about anything. However, you have to wait till ceptors get really close instead of taking them out at 40km+ away with torps. I tried 6 modulated mega beams and 2 assault launchers but cannot really kill ceptors fast enough. There are missions that I have to face 8-10 ceptors, 4-7 close in cruisers and 1-3 battleship rats. During that situation, release drone is not an option since you have to warp out at certain point. The assualt launchers simply too slow for killing ceptors. 3 quad light beams on the other hand can kill those ceptors rather quickly.

For Lvl 4 Missions I have a couple of setups that are working nicely. Sorry for the T2 setup but its what I use, substitute for high end named and the only difference is less use of Grid and CPU
I went with this first:
HI: 6 MegaPulse II and 2 Heavy Pulse Laser II or Medium Beam Laser II
MID: 2 Cap Recharge IIs, Target Painter II, Webifier
LOW: 2 Large Armor Rep II, Three Hardeners, Two Cap Relays
and drones, ofcourse drones....
Next going to try to replace the Heavy Pulses w/ Dual Heavies or even two MegaP IIs after I change out some modules.

Back to setups.. NPC (not tested atm) 6x mega pulse T2, 2x cruise 4x cap rechargers (named) 1x lrg T2 rep, 2 ex, 2 kin, 1 ther (50%) hardners, 1x cpr
PVP (not tested atm) 5x T2 tachys 2x cruise (named) 1x 20 warp scram, 2x t2 sensor boosters (instalock) 1x tracking computer T2 or cap injector with 800's 2x lrg armour reps (named) 5x heatsink t2
the pvp setup is more for a fleet as theres no anti tackler there... maybe a warp stab tho??!!

Drones and drone bay size were decreased by a factor of 10. A heavy drone now takes 25m3. You can still fit 6 heavies in the drone bay as before.
I'm not too fond of your PvP setup. If you are in a fleet engagement and get called primary you are dead even if you fill your low slots with armour reppers.
If you are alone then you either tank properly or gank properly. This seems to hit the midground. And frankly, a geddon ganks better than anything else due to it's gun bonusses. The Apoc is designed to tank. Huuuge cap etc etc.
*Edit* Not sure if you have the cpu to fit your PvE setup. Even n-type hardners will make you struggle. I've dropped cruise launchers for small t2 guns for killing frigs. Those 2 guns and 6 heavies will kill 110k cruisers quickly too.

Pre patch i had 2 Siege...post patch...why bother?
Is it just me, or have drones been buffed, 4 meds and 4 heavies eat webifiers for tea. On that basis, ive been fitting:-
6 Mega Modulateds, 2 Heavy Pulse
Cap IIs
1 Large t2, 1 carapace or better 3 hardeners 2 heat sink IIs
The Heavies still hit the webifiers stripping shields without fuss. With a webber, you could hold them and pick them off without trouble, however, the extra heat sink helps with the loss of damage from losing the siege against the heavy tankers.
Although Vengeance...wtf...Rachen Mysuna dropped very nice loot now but i needed to get the alt in a Blasterax to come in to help bust her tank AND get to 6k range so i could shoot MF from all my guns just to get her down.

I Say Depends On Your Skills + If You Are Npcing Or PVPing Npcing I use: 6 X Mega Pulse Laser II's 2 x Cruise Launchers 4 X Cap Recharger II's 2 X Large Armor Reps (Named Or Tech II) 3 X Armor Hardners (Npc Type Depending ) 2 X Cap Power Relays
PVP ( Depends if You Can Afford This Setup + Lose it )
7 x Tech II Tachs 2 x Sensor Bosters 2 x Tracking Computers 1 x RCU II + 1 PDU II 4 x Heat sink II's 1 x Tracking Enhanser II
Works Real well For Fleet Battles :P What is The Meaning of This !!! |

Hey guys. I'm having a hard time hitting angel cruisers with 6 mega pulse Is with gamma ammo from 15km-20km... all shots MISS. not 1-2, ALL. what can i possibly do to stop missing like that. it's crazy and none the less annoying.
My setup is this:
High 6xmega pulse I 1xcruise launcher with FOF Cruise missiles 1xlimos rocket launcher with defenders
Med 4xcap recharger Is
Low 1xenergized magnetic plating I 1xenergized reactive plating I 3xCPR Is 2xlarge armour repairers.
can anyone suggest a better fitting than this? i'm hitting npcs for 50-150damage mostly...
anything to boost the damage over 150 minimum?!

Its the range. 15-20km is where they are under your tracking. The guns are basically having a hard time rotating fast enough to hit targets so close.
You need to get further away. With such a big clumsy ship the best you can do is warp away and warp in further out. A target painter will help and so will tracking enhancers or computers. Finally, train motion prediction up as high as possible. I have it maxxed and still struggle though...
As to damage, your crystals do EM and thermal dmg. Angels are highly resistant to that so you wont buff your hits too much.

Tkx for the explanation i'll take it into consideration altough i cannot fit anything else hence i need the cap to be boosted as much as possible... unless i put some T2 stuff on it.. now
I've made this modification on the HIGH Modules. 5x Tachyon Beam Laser Is (Gamma, Microwave and Ultraviolet) 3x Heavy Beam Laser Is (with Gamma and Microwave)
This is a killer setup... It doesn't miss that much as my previous setup and i can snipe from affar and kill the frigs from 10-15km with the heavy beam lasers fairly easy and with much damage.
I'm cool with this setup.

so is this setup cool agains lvl4 missions(minmatar missions)? i hade a setup like that, but then i got to one of those missions where they spawn new enemy waves for each one you kill, and the last wave(think it was the last atleast:p drained my tank under 1min, even 30sec maybe:P i hade a setup like that

I've been using the following setup:
Hi: 6x Mega Beam (5 Crystal Types) 2x Hvy Beam (5 Crystal Types)
Mid: 3x Cap Recharger II 1x Target Painter II
Low: 1x Explosive Armor Hardner 1x Kenetic Armor Hardner 1x Microcell Nanite Themal Armor Hardner 2x Large Inefficient Armor Repairers 1x Heat Sink II 1x Cap Power Relay
6x Ogres Hvy Drones
Makes for an interesting balance between tanking and offensive posture...

Not sure what you are trying to do here, tachs use way to much grid and consiquently nerf your armour tank, try dual-heavy beams or megabeams. Also i reccomend looking into This post, its kind of a noobs guide to the Apoc.

working on my NPC setup, suffice to say, cap recharger IIs, large armour rep IIs, and some sort of tech II pulse weapon.
Mining wise, 8 miner IIs, 4 cap IIs, 2 large rep IIs, 3 co pro IIs, 2 relays Is.

an Apoc simply needs an AB if he is using pulses... sometimes NPCs just shoot off in a direction and can keep large distances unless you use that AB...
I like havining
7 Megapulse IIs
3 med cap recharger IIs 1 large tech II AB
2 large tech II reps, 3 hardeners, 1 relay and 1 heatsink II.

DonŠt know why this MegaPulseLaser should be so great in NPCing. U enter a complex and there are 2 possibilities: 1)u are 20-30 km away from the first frigs then u can turn, lock and kill most of them with 5-6 tachyons + heatsinks. 2)u are closer than 20 km (12 e.g.) u donŠt have a realisic chance to hit them even with ur MegaBeam. Best thing is to gain some dist. to closest enemy and killŠem before they even do their 1st shot. Our caldarian friends sit at 130km and fire. They donŠt need any tanking equipment. Closecombat with Megas fitted and 10-12 devastators/elitefrigs on ur neck... i donŠt want to do this even with 2 T2reppers. IŠd rather sit at 80-90 km and killem with Radio+Tachyons.

I've been thingking about setting up a tanking Apoc to take the heat in the harder lvl4 missions.
High T2 small rails and NOS
Med: CAP T2
Low: if gurristas or other gang doing 2 types of dmg 4 hardners (2 of each kind) 2 repairers
if angels t2 plate 3 hardners 2 reppers
That leaves 1 low.. so I guess it's flawed in some way. (might need PDU2)
But question is: Am I way of the mark here? I've tried a similar tank fśr drones. It can take 2 supremes but they'll break the tank slowly if they have their sall brothers along w them. If I go in first and attack first I become the primary target. The others can fit for full dmg output and I'll just act as the firewall taking out smaller stuff.

Hi Slots: 2xNamed NOS 2xlaunchers cruise/torp or 2xAnode Tachyon Particle Streams 4xAnode Tachyon Particle Streams
Mid Slots: 3xCap II's 1xWeb
Low Slots: 1xNamed Repairer 3xHardeners 3x1600mm Tungsten Plates
Makes you slow as hell but loverly when you get to the 25km mark, WEB NOS and 6 multi spec beam lasers. mmmmmm :) Only really effective in a team otherwise your gonna have trouble against EW with this setup to say the least.
