Just wondering if the above is possible now that Eve-Gate has been published (new API for that and stuff). Would be nice to be able to receive my EveMail to my phone :) and possibly syncing the calendar too. |

The ability to evemail from outlook or sync my eve calendar to my google/outlook calendar would be... delicious

The ability of spammers to send spam would be delicious too.
NOT SUPPORTED !!! ( I get enough ***** enlargement offers as it is in my normal mail. )

I believe it was asked for in a number of threads in the run-up to Tyrannis and the official CCP answer was that it would not be supported.
The funny thing about this sentence is that by the time you've finished reading it, it's too late for you to realise it doesn't say anything. |

Since it went live I have been non-stop in Eclipse working on a mobile version for the Android platform. Much work to be done still and trying to get ahold of the Aura dev to make a possible "All-In-One" Mobile eve information client thingy. Would need a spiffy name to boot.
But prelim app builds "work" just need to get the interface looking pretty and toy with functionality.
I'm "hoping" to get this sucker to auto-sync with Google Calender.

Thats what I'm going for. I really like Aura and a few planned features are:
Mail client (send, recieve, draft)
Widget (unread mail notification, calender)
Notifications (new mail, calender updates, standings change maybe once i see how that works in practice)
Sync with Google calender
I'm always open to suggestions.
Best part is this will be a free app when finished. Of course donations will always be accepted in the form of Iskies but noone get too excited this is still a bit off especially since its running in parallel with my work on 2.2 porting to my i5700.
I have big plans for the app though and it has a lot of potential to make Real time communication while mobile a reality

If I can use this on my desktop and sync eve events into my google calendar, I'd probably pay for it. I don't understand why stuff like this wasn't included in eve gate to begin with. Its fkin trivial for a dev team to add in native support for calendar sync.

One of the best features of Aura is its assets display. It shows me every module I own, even the ones that are fitted into ships.
So there seem to be useful features available via API that you don&t get ingame. I hope this is true for some of the new EveGate-API-features as well.

Having customizable alarm tones for different type of notification (WarDecs, "POS is low on ressources"-messages) would be great.
How about an app that combines EveGate with a mobile killboard?

The killboard thing i've been slowly working on as a seperate application, the problem is sooooooo many different kb formats it makes it dificult to centralize and interfaceize (if that can be a word and i just made it up dibs on the trademark)
as far as notification tones that is easily enough done hell i already have my i5700 reporting
"The capactior is empty" when battery low
Evemail sound for SMS messages
and I have Aura saying skill training completed when a skill finishes
but I'll look into getting notifactions done up proper although i dont know if i can use the actual eve sound files due to copyright... even if its a free app. A CCP rep should voice up on the issue but if not they can be set by obtaining the .ogg files which was easy enough. hell i have all the old eve sounds :D
Keep ideas coming though I'll try to integrate as much as i can without making a bloated app. I'm all about functionality and speed here

Yup, mobile layout for EVE Gate would allow you to use it with mobile phones web browser... Wich would be damn nice!

Eve-Gate is not a problem for the N900, but to get the mail to the email client would be nice. With what language are you coding the program that you are doing?

What API? CCP has not added that.
However, people are working on sc****rs for Evegate. No idea how far they are though.
