Edited by: RREBEL13 on 23/05/2010 18:18:59 Ok someone explain to me if the timer is working when you undock and can be insta locked? Whats happened to the timer is it still here or has it been removed? The ships undocked and its coarse was not altered to break the timer. The screen was not dark but 1 to 2 seconds as its a fast computer. Is it possible to bump someone and disrupt the timer because this seems to be the only solution? If you cant then there was a timer bug which resulted in the loss of an expensive ship.

Did you activate any mod? How about target someone?
The moment you do ANYTHING after undocking, your invulnerability is over. Bumping by itself does not break it (at least, I don't think it does), but it does put your ship in jeopardy as it could be pushed too far from the station (so you can't redock) or too far off of alignment with your instaundock-point (if you have one). _______________________

Lots of people seem to think hitting stop doesn't reset the timer.
I'm not so sure.

I've used this trick on many occasions, it doesn't affect the timer in any way.
To the OP, is the station you're undocking from a kickout station? The moment you are outside the docking radius of the station you are lockable ---------- Who, me? |

No, you should still have those 30 seconds, nomatter what the station looks like.
Regarding bumping, it does nothing either since if you try to bump someone that is still invulnerable for any reason, you will simply fly straight trough like if they weren't there at all.

Pro tip: Press esc, go to General Settings, and click on Show Session-Change Timer.
Also, using ctrl+space to stop means you can't accidentally misclick anything.

Nope he said he did nothing as soon as he popped out of station and the screen came up which was like 2 seconds maybe he was locked and being shot.

How long was he sitting on the black screen? AFAIk the undock timer is simply a lag buffer between clicking undock, and actually being undocked. He may have sat out his undock timer in the black screen of lag.
