Wow, I didn't realise he was this close to 150mil sp already. So congratulations to Dr. Caymus. I takes a lot of dedication to keep your char training at 100% effeciency, especially in the old days before remaps.
I can still remember being a comparative newbie and hearing about Dr. Caymus and his 40mil or so sp. Long time ago, happy memories.

Yup,he'd have to stop training altogether for about 10 months for me to catch up....Not that it's ever going to happen mind you,but just to put into perspective...
Having said that,he's putting a lot of training into PVP skills, when he's primarily an industry and research char,so it shows that CCP need to get on the ball and release even more skills soon,as even i'll be running out of stuff worth training by the end of the year,so bring on more T3 ships and modules please, along with the skills needed to use them.

Sour much?....
No matter how one chooses their atributes,or what skills to train, getting to this point still takes years of planning and training, billions in skills costs + implants, not to mention a lot of patience to get there, yet we get all sorts of excuses and general attitude from younger players, and that simply souldn't be tolerated, period.

You previously said that "even I" (as the second highest sp char in the game) were running out of things to train in a specific field, in a year, now if you started training that a month ago fair enough but that's not how it came across. And yea feel free to think it's good design to balance around that but I disgress.
In any case sorry for derailing, just thought your previous statement sounded so silly. Oh and 3 year old chars are not new by my standard.

Thanks, guys. The next 100 million points will offer some interesting challenges. I'll face more situations in which I have to train skills that don't match my current attributes in order to earn the prerequisites necessary to proceed with attribute-optimized skills. Navigating the most optimal path through those situations will most certainly test my CPM skills, while also affording the opportunity to my closest total SP competitors to close the gap a bit. Needless to say, it's gonna be alot of fun figuring out what and how to train over the next few years. I look forward to the challenge.

I'm not the 2nd highest Sp char in the game,as i'm listed 9th in chribba's list, but it only contains 11 000 chars in the list, and there's about 350 000 accounts in game,so it only really represents the tip of the iceberg basically, and there was a previous site that actually had well over 80 000 entries, but it was laggy as hell and eventually closed down i think, and the highest i was on that list was 15th overall....Caymus was first on that list too.
And if a 3 year char is old(which it is),then 7 year chars are pre-historic....

Woot,i see myself catching up to the doctor(only a few million SP though),as i'm almost done with perception/willpower skills, and already have my next remap figured out using the maximum possible atributes allowed in game, and actually lasting more than a full year of that remap,so i'm good till late 2011 at least....
Assuming no other skills are added by CCP that i actually want to train up,this char will be at 314 skills total,of which nearly 200 skills will be at level 5 by late 2011,and this contains skills to lvl 5 that i rarely(if ever),even use, just to keep the char training something basically, and that's pretty unfortunate,as the times when i trained something and actually felt it made a difference is long gone even today...

Congrats DrC, even at max training speed it will take me 7 months (Jan 5th 2011) be the 2nd person there. How about taking a 7 month break from the game DrC (please)
