Flew Omens to tag along in level 4 missions when I first got started. Got me used to losing ships and not caring, which is useful these days.
I can't think of many stupid or weird things I've done. And ballsy...that's a matter of opinion. I'll let other people tell you those stories...if there are any. |

I used to live in Amamake so I could run missions with all the nice level4 agents there.
It was quite profitable but not as risky as it sounds.

Stupidest (recently anyway): I was afk reading forums and waiting out GCC in a safespot and tabbed back to EVE when I heard missile explosions and turret fire. I had been probed out by a gang of ~5-6. They had a Curse, Arazu, Drake, and 2 Hurricanes and maybe a Brutix, I dont remember. I was in a shield/720mm cane. They were off me by about 40km and the Arazu had point on me but I was able to OL and burn out of range before I was scrammed. After making a whole bunch of noise in Vent I had a few corpmates in BC's help me out and we bagged the Curse and scared the rest off with me still intact  |

Not sure how its possible so many people think a game can break their video card. Either the card already had a problem or you do not have adequate cooling. There is literally no way any program can break a modern video card.

Took on a goon fleet solo in a Geddon.
It gets better. I had just fitted it for an emergency Logi run. All the high slots had remote shield reps on and it had 5 large shield rep drones so when I locked a guy I was repairing his shield asking myself what the hell I was thinking.
I'm sure I did alot of stuff in my earlier days that I never knew I wasn't supposed to do. My first loot was a daredevil and it went pretty much everywhere. I tried docking at BoB stations, used to fly to belts to look for loot. Yea, I'd go 15 jumps in to null and come back with a really cool Meta 4 thinking I was the cat's meow for finding the loot. If I couldn't fit it, I left it. I'm sure I don't even want to know how much stuff I left behind for that 800K Lazor gun. |

Drunken stupidity isn't very uncommon I guess, but just to keep the thread bumped:
Some time ago I was bored of doing missions, and had started running courier contracts in hi-sec.
One night after having quaffed a substantial number of pints at the pub, I log on to eve and spot a juicy contract between Jita and Hek. The collateral was 315 million ISK, almost my entire fortune at the time.
Long story short, I pass out two jumps from Jita, and wake up with a hangover in a clone bay in Jufvitte, with less than a million in my wallet. Back to doing missions... |

Not really very stupid, but a bad decision: I decided that rather than bother to exert the tiny effort to pick up a shuttle to travel a few jumps to get a new ship I'd bought in another system, I would just go the short distance in my pod. The route was entirely in hisec. What could go wrong?
As I warped to gate, someone else was there being suicide ganked. The gankers were also using smartbombs. Guess who came out of warp right next to the smartbombing ship just as it went off?
At least my implants were cheap ones... |

got my retriever to that system to mine RARE and EXPENSIVE ores...
....
was mining for like 30 minutes chatting in corp chat.... local you say? what is it?
....
pirate was nice enough to not pod me..... bad news is: refining module in POS was offlined and hemorphite i mined out got me like 1 mil.....

Blew up my profit tengu with my alts sentry drones in a plex. Since then I have never carebear'd again. True story.
I tried to explain to CCP that a rogue drone had warped into the plex and assimilated my sentry drones and I should get my tengu back but they didnt listen........

When you die your ship gets blown to tiny, burning pieces. There's no "corpse run", no "respawn". You're dead. That's it. You just lost everything you were flying, perhaps even your body. Worse still you may have lost the space you controlled or resources you were gathering.-aTake that away and EVE is no longer EVE. TL;DR: Fix war decs. |
