When flying a solo Hurricane, is the mobility of the nanos preferred over the range and tracking bonuses of TEs? Assume a fit something like:
6x 425mm Autocannon II 2x Medium Neuts 10MN MWD 2x LSEII (or LSE+Invuln) Long Point DCII 3x Gyrostabs 2x Unknown lows Shield rigs
Flying will mostly be done in 0.0, with a little bit of low-sec.

how about 2 gyro, 2 track enhance and one nano?

2x TEs + polycarbon rigs. Best of both worlds. -----------

Edited by: Elapidae on 18/04/2010 03:48:19 generally use 2-2-2 gyro/nano/TE myself. But I always use it solo vs blobs and need the mobility and agility. If I'm caught, the extra ehp from the DC won't save me, not getting caught in the first place much better plan.

More shield HP, faster shield recharge time... and you're shield tanking.
More Capacitor, faster capacitor recharge time... and you're using two medium neuts.]
It's what I fit in the last two lows on my canes and it works very well.

I personally favor CPRs rather than PDSes, for it allows me to run my neuts and MWD at maximum efficiency.

TEs are pretty overpowered these days so you might as well abuse 'em unless you have a specific reason to go for maximum mobility.

I would use 220's with 1-2 TEs rather than 425's, the extra tracking will dispatch everything small extremely fast once the neuts have cycled and total performance is not that much lower. Using shield rigs is only if you have them lying around I think. Rigs to add speed/agility/fall-off/tracking/damage is better as far as I am concerned. If you are caught then a little extra tank won't do much whereas better GtFO/Pwn ability will.

Careful. Words like that will get you killed right quick by all the people using/abusing them They are close to being god-modules when combined with AC's though .. stupidly powerful for marginal fittings.

Both options are good, as said you could drop one gyro for a nano as well. I advise sticking with shield resistance rigs. That EM/Therm hole is really awful without them. I would not advise removing the DC. Some ships like the t3 cruisers can do that but it's generally a very, very bad idea.
Thus far you shall read, but no further; for this is my sig. |

There is no reason to lose falloff and DPS for a slight bit more tracking, honestly. I have never ever had problems BBQ-ing frigate hulls with 425s fitted; if they get close dual neuts shut them down very quickly, and at range backed with dual TEs 425s will hit any frigate hull very hard.

6x 425mm AC II 2x Medium Energy Neutralizer II
10MN MWD I Warp Disrupter II Large Shield Extender II Invuln II
Damage Control II Nanofibre II 2x Tracking Enhancer II 2x Gyrostabiliser II
Polycarb EM Screen Reinforcer Core Defence Shield Extender
6x Hobgoblin II
This is my cookie-cutter general purpose Hurricane. I went for the Invuln II over a second LSE because I fly in lots of gang with logistics ships. With the DCU and the EM rig, it has reasonably even resists. It's worked reasonably well for me. It's pretty fast and agile compared to most ships in it's class, and does very good DPS.
The cane is a deliciously easy to fit, adaptable ship. Signed, Pheusia |

Depends on wether or not you're fitting a scrambler or not IMO. If you are then a tracking enhancer won't be all that useful and you may pherhaps be better off with 2x Nano (then again I'm not sure how well you'll track with 425s up close since you won't have a web).
If you're running a disruptor then TEs are pretty much too good not to have at least one of, then again I'd want at least one nano in nullsec too.
