As it stands the minmatar shield boosters arent even equivilant to meta 2 in shield boost stats (Medium Neutron Saturation Injector 1). While they do have superior fitting stats they just lack the umph that the other ones do. Would it be possible to have their amounts raised so they dont suck? ~85 would be reasonable and would give people a reason to fly minmatar missions to get shield boosters rather than everyone flooding caldari space and runnign missions there and making more lag there.
TL;DR
Minmatar and domination medium shield boosters are meta 8 but dont even have meta 2 boost amounts or the effectiveness of their caldari counterparts. I know they take less cap but minmatar dont need cap.

If you don't like the boost amounts then use deadspace medium shield boosters instead. |

I believe you are looking at using a Medium Shield Booster on a Hawk, I think I've seen you playing in them and infact I think I've given you a Med Booster Hawk fit.
The issue here isn't the medium shield booster if you are looking for something on a Hawk. Its that the Hawk is generally failsauce as it stands.

Domination and Republic Fleet modules are designed to be fit to ships that don't have a lot of CPU, grid, or cap to spare, and they're generally cheap enough to be used in combat. If your ship is not being pushed to its limits, then T2 would probably be better.
Minmatar technology emphasizes efficiency over raw power. It isn't about pushing out the best, it's about allowing you to get the most options out of your ship. ____________ I'd make a forum signature that didn't suck, but I'm restricted by a character limit that does. |

Lets look at the stats
Caldari Navy CPU: 42 PG: 12 Act Cost: 60 GJ Duration: 2.4 Shield HP Bonus: 90
Republic Fleet CPU: 42 PG: 12 Act Cost: 48 GJ Duration: 2.4 Shield HP Bonus: 72
Tech 2: Cpu: 52 PG: 13 Act Cost: 60 Duration 3.0 Shield hp bonus 90
so if i want to faction fit my ship why would i want to use minmatar when caldari navy seems to be superior.
The idea of this thread is to point out minmatar stuff need some love, it doesnt have to be cookie cutter faction but honestly need a reason to buy minmatar stuff. It is cheap faction stuff but when it comes down to it, why would you buy minmatar vs caldari? Minmatar stuff just needs something to make it stand out more. Though I do see how it could work well for ships with cap problems.

The minmatar ones arent even any more cap effecient. they both do 1.5 shield boost per shield. If you're going to make it boost less, at least make it more cap efficient.

If you are referring to the stats i posted, those are the current values on both SISI and TQ. not the proposed changes.

Yes OP lets have every single mod do exactly the same thing..NOT.
The Republic Fleet Medium Shield booster is perfectly fine the way it is.
Caldari Navy Act Cost: 60GJ, Shield HP Bonus: 90 (ratio 1/1.5)
Republic Fleet Act Cost: 48GJ, Shield HP Bonus: 72 (ratio 1/1.5)
The same energy consumption for the same amount of boost, with the added bonus of not eating into your cap as quick. Both mods are used differently, which is good as it ads diversity. If you dont like the way it performs use the Caldari Navy booster instead.

disruptors and webs are the only item that repub fleet (and domination) have better. While sansha has bascially anything relating to cap and armor, and guristas anything relating to shield. repub stuff needs a buff.

Minmatar good items I think: Tracking Enhancer (over 50% reduced cpu usage) Gyro Warp Disruptor MWD/AB Ammunition Nanofiber/Overdrive (kind of lol)
Maybe 1-2 more decent item is needed.
Please also buffing Khanid LP store.

Anyoen with a grasp of reality can see that minamtar faction modules are FAR inferior.
That used to be balanced by the superior speed modules (nanofibers, overdrive and MWD). But sicne the nano nerf, those are nearly sueless and the value of minmatar LP store is VASTLY inferior to the other races.
And WAKE up.. minmatar DO NOT HAVE A FACTION WEB!! Its the Gallente that have it!! yes other race has the special module or MINMATAR favored Ewar.
There is need of some balancing. If not by stats, then CCP shoudl reduce the cost on LP store of the INFERIOR minmatar items.
